Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

I really hope the wont (if we ever get 27M, gaijin is allergic to Flanker and Fulcrum modernisation projects). Flying worse version of Su-30SM at only 0.3 br lower is not on my bingo card

whoops, i forgot that su-27m actually carries 10 r-77s without double racks. its irl loadout wouldve been 10 r77s and 2 r73s.
Would be 12 r77s and 2 r73s with dual racks

imo the 90 degree gimbal limit, much better engines (if its 710) and flight performance due to being lighter would be a nice side grade

good example of su-27m multirole loadout.
Note the r-77 on the outer wing pylons, forgot it could carry r77s there unlike su27sm

If it will be N011. N011M was also tested on it and if you are going for engines from flying laboratory, getting N011M would be only logical.

very low probability, those engines are for testing, not for actual “production version”. Gaijin wouldn’t introduce something like this unless urgently needed.

whole ass 400 kilos. This is like 2 R-27ERs. But you will loose spooling mode for engines because it is only for AL-31FP.

they can just give 710 in 2010 configuration. had both n011 and the su-57 engines. 2004 config would be su-35s engines. Might as well save the n011m for the su-30sm

Would be extremely odd decision, but gaijin is gajin, true. Tho i would like to see it as “vanilla” as possible. With N011 and AL-31Fs. Would be probably enough to push it to 13.7 where it will actually be very fun, instead of “being outranged by R-77-1 and R-27ER on SM2” bracket

eh, if it’s really just base su-27m (lets just take 703 for example), it would still not be at 13.7 cause 10 r77s and 2 r73s is just ridiculous. Sure, its fat as hell, but that’s still an insane radar (±90 degree limits!) with 6 multitarget tracking

4 iirc, tho it’s basically a no-factor, R-77 doesn’t fly at the distance where TWS with DL would be preferable to simple hard lock

oh yeah its 4

gah damn n011m mogs n011

Who would’ve thought that modernised radar is actually modernised.

I wouldnt, we’re talking about Russians in here they might do anything at this point.

I just don’t want to be in a bracket with unlimited SM2s and Rafales with 20km R-77s. If it had 77-1, by all means.

We do be quite unpredictable, true

tbh i cant find anything about it using rvv-sd/r771, only base r77

Because RVV-SD didn’t exist at that time. It was made by Russia way after the fall of USSR. And i think Russia only did this cuz Ukraine made a “brilliant” decision of not selling R-77 to Russia.

Sniff sniff, how about sniff, we just give R27EA with base R-77 :)

Take a Su-27 ACE for example.

The sole prototype wasn’t equipped with TVC engines but on certain show they painted another one with same camo pattern and also called it ACE.

There are unconfirmed rumors that 2019 R-27 modernisation program put 9B-1103M seekers inside of them. We just need to steal one and dissasemble it
