Yea my bad. I should have said the faster acceleration.
what is more important for prolonged flights is the capabilty to supercruise and less the acceleration

Yep, I’m more of a Su-30 fan personally, but can’t beat how cool the Su-27 looks :)

TWR has quite a lot to do with top speed, just not static T/W.
An aircraft that has a high T/W ratio generally will have a higher top speed with few exceptions, especially if the aircraft is heavier whilst staying slim (Su-27, MiG-25) whereas something like the B-52 could have a 2:1 T/W and the top speed would not be much better for other obvious reasons.
