Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

Does it match its real-life counterpart?

Not sure, but one thing’s clear, now it can compete with the top dogs way more easily. At high speeds the airframe feels super responsive and comfortable to turn, simply fantastic

Nothing matches their irl counterpart in WT tbf.

Is there anything that can be done about the su30sm2 rwr.
its currently Pretty much the same has the su27sm and can only watch 30 degrees up and down

Also no maw whatsoever

Is there something missing or is it just the way it is in RL?
(Which would mean we would have another su-27 base Model situation at hand in the future, Great plane horrible rwr)

I believe the RWR is accurate and Su-35 has MAW but not Su-30

This charts (Su-27 vs F-15 and Su-27 vs F-16) is garbage. It’s either from someone’s thesis or belongs to an early T-10 prototype, not the T-10S. Ignore these charts. You have everything you need in the Su-27SK manual—it lists G-loads that can be converted into sustained turn rates.

i already know. Its from t-10 prototype. Its where 18900 kg figure comes from, and is what giajin based the original su-27 fm off.

its ±30 degrees, its accurate.

irl its horrendous at determining angle, as you can see here the error percentage is garbage.

“russian bias” look inside

an even older aircraft beating the su-27 in a one circle fight.
bro is acting like su27 is the only UFO in war thunder lmao sure lets just pretend the eurocanards don’t exist and a bunch of other UFOs

both F15/16 beating the mig29 in both ITR n STR.

SM2 has additional sensor above and below. So it seems like the view should be close to 360 degrees.

This isn’t accurate, but it’s surprising that no one bothers to figure it out.

The plane also has the wrong amount of flares.

are we sure its for rwr? I’ve seen the extra antennas, but they don’t look exactly like the “knobs” for l-150. With no confirmation, I would assume those are for satellite comms, datalink, iff or something of that sort, not rwr.

As for cms, it shuld be 112 or something, but gaijin hasn’t modeled the extra tail dispensers, so until it’s modeled, it should stick with 98. Its model in game is currently a mishmash of su-30sm and su-30sm2.

I don’t see any l-150 looking sensors above. Below… maybe, but those imo still don’t look like knobs. But above, I see nothing of substance

Not from that angle, but there’s a spherical radome the size of the L-150 radomes behind that first fin antenna

Can’t say what its for though

these are all of the antennas one could make the case that might be l-150, but i sincerely doubt they are. They’re not quite knob shaped, except for maybe top one? But this angle is hard to make it out

You were looking for sphere radomes before. So why those ones?

Im saying they dont look spherical. so i doubt they are l-150

Which we already knew

So I’m not sure what antennas/knobs ralin is referring to. I don’t see any that actually look like l-150 that are pointed up or downwards.

Look at the in-game model from above
