Im currently using PL-8Bs and honestly? I prefer them more. The TVC is nice and all but having faster TtT seals the deal.
Eh, tbh faster missiles are nice, but you also had to sling from them further, effectively nullifying the IRCCM.
In other words - pretty much a better R-27T
Agreed but kinematically it would give the US mains a Typhoon, Rafale performance level.
120s are trash and fixing them would make a huge difference to the game.
Unless F-22s RAM/Stealth coating prevents ARHM close range acquiring as a gameplay trait.
I found the faster TtT to work great with the FoV gate. Faster you close the gap - bigger the chance the flares wont enter the shrunk missile FoV. I wish I had these on EFT lol.
sure but I use that one at much more different ranges.
Datalink exists. Even if missile not lock F-22 from 20km (which i highly doubt) it still can use DL correction until it gets close enough.
missile lock should be at 2km for stealth targets for Russian arh seekers. lemme find the source again
what aspect are we talking about? RCS is a dynamic thing
Anyway pitbull will activates from 20-22km.
missile maintains DL connection even if it is pitbull
didnt give aspect, just gave rcs of 0.03 m^2 or something
if gaijin will give static RCS number to F-22 regardless of speed, altitude, aspect or weather it will be absolutely hilarious.
Glad someone’s already done that, I think theres a ton of stuff that needs fixing, from the engine to the radar, for example: I’ve read plenty of times that jets with the AL41 can supercruise at Mach 1.2, not sure on what conditions, but ingame I can barely hit that most of the time, even with no weapons and low fuel. As for the radar, it honestly just feels like a Bars copy with a bigger scan area and more gimbal limit, isnt the scan zone supposed to be like 120°x20° or something? Im also pretty sure the Irbis engagement range is way more than just 100km
biggest number i’ve seen for engagement range is 300km but that was for a missile that ceased to exist (k-172).
They cannot take the time to dynamically model Russian ERA I doubt aircraft will have “dynamic” RCS.
Gaijin need to model suspended armament drag, the Su-30SM should not even be close to super cruising with no recessed missiles. There is a reason the US and NATO use ejector pylons. Conveniently Gaijin just model weight and not induced drag of suspended armaments. I would love to see data of a Su-30SM reaching Mach 1.4 with the kind of payloads War Thunder players operate.
you are saying it like every other ERA is dynamically modelled
No none are but who benefits the most from ERA and why does said ERA function in the exact same way from a 90 degree shot as a 45 degree shot.
Ask other countries to put more ERA on their tanks then.
Im honestly so tired of this camo on every iconic russian jet, at this point its just cringe
