This one actually a bit wrong. First MKI prototype airframes were made out of Su-30s so technically it should trace a line from Su-30 and not Su-30K.
Another bit of trivia is that there are 2 main factories that are producing different Su-30 versions. MKI and derivatives are made in Irkutsk, whike MKK and derivatives are made in Komsomolsk-on-Amur

Yeah, those aren’t R-74.
Looking at the picture R-74 (aka RVV-MD for export) has different fuse. Couldn’t find photos from other angles sadly
R-74 is not rvv-md, r-74m is rvv-md.
Considering rvv-md2 (izd 760) is called r74m2,
It’s logical that rvv-md (izd 750) is called r-74m.
i haven’t seen a single Russian source that claims RVV-MD to be R-74M. Only R-74. I also haven’t seen a single mention of RVV-MD2 being called R-74M2. Those could very well be media created names.
News in the media about Kurganpribor say that it is making Izdelie 750 aka R–74 aka RVV-MD.
I had no idea the Su-35 had a manual lever to put up the HUD UV filter, I just thought that it didn’t have one.

i think they are mainly shocked that they got su30mkm in the first place. im fine with kh38s. but now both F2 & su30mkm will bully su30sm in sim. they mostly pissed cus they didnt add a new jet for russia to counter the new eft,j10c,gripen e. i dont know why they are refusing to add the su35/f15ex at this point , both of them will probably end up being inferior to the current additions.

I notice something unique for Su-30MKM, is this supposed to be MAW? If so, this would make Su-30MKM legit better than Su-30SM lmao.
EDIT: Yes, it’s a MAW, I noticed that there’s MAW in the statscard.
Yup, with literally the same loadout (including double pylon that people are allergic to) but with additional MAW and LWS Su-30MKM is indeed a straight upgrade over Su-30SM

I guess more modernized Flanker will coming soon in Q1 2026 update for Russia. Russia still lacks aircraft with MAW in Top Tier. Although one can say that too for US.

US RWR at least has better cover angles. Gaijin also can do a funny and give US Su-35 from Iran because Iranian Tomcat is already in this TT

Tbf I don’t think they will do, F-14 Iran was in US becuase Iran doesn’t necessarily have to be in Soviet side and F-14 is US most “Flagship” aircraft. Like, there’s Australian Abrams in the US and Australian Hornet in the UK. I don’t think Iranian Su-35 would make a way to US Tech Tree, because in the end it’s Russian Vehicle.
