Currently the second best in the game, but if we actually have J10C with PL15, and depending on the Eurofighter’s performance, it could drop to 3rd or 4th place among the best.
What keeps the Su-30 competitive is its very good situational awareness, even with blind spots, and the fact that the R77-1 is extremely good at all tasks; perhaps it only needs an improvement in FM and TVC, i love Su30s this jet is beautiful my favorite plane

I didn’t say maybe it will come, it was leaked, if it does, China will dominate first, Mica second, and R77-1 third, unless Gsijin is planning Meteor R77M AIM120DS.

Mica is underperforming in range (should be doubled) and also underperforming in acceleration and turn rate (underperforming by around 80ish percent for turn rate ) (though the source for mica acceleration gaijin thinks is classified even though it’s from a library or something)

only EFT and su35/j16 will be the top dog, missile count with 6 meteor and 8 r77m/pl15, while everyone strugle with only 4 or less
For balance reasons, the right thing to do would be to give Mica his acceleration range and remove Seeker buff, even if history is undone, I think.

Me personally I think fox 3s should stay the same they all are currently unless they all get buffed at the same time rather than only one fox 3 be buffed at a time (other than aim 120 that thing is garbage and needs buffs immediately).
And revert the mica to be in line with other fox 3s

I can’t say either, to be honest I was expecting a bit more from this update, but I’ll only draw conclusions after the trailer or the dev stream.
It would be better to buff everyone; Mica gains her range and keeps her Seeker buff, but the others also get buffs. However, that would be too extreme, let’s say, and would change everything. Nobody would stay close to each other out of fear. Maps like Pyrenees would start to be loved; I like it. Or maybe we leave it as it is and Gaijin starts preparing for next-generation missiles. If these next-generation missiles arrive with or near the 5th generation, it will be a mess for the player base to get used to.

i mean 1.5 mach at 8k meters in a su30sm is extremely rare to see in matches, and the r-77-1 is no worse than a aim120a at those ranges.

Not that rare, especially after contrails moved up and Su-30 got 5% thrust buff. And this F-15 behavior isn’t something rare as well, Eagles are one of the most bullied jets at top tier because majority of F-15 players are a definition of a “US main” meme

fairly rare in my experience, most su30 that try to bvr typically shoot at around mach 1.2/3 in my experience, and that high, and to be fair, the f15e is a plane without any claws i can see why the people playing it arent the best perfoming.
“Aren’t the best performing” and flying straight collecting Fox-3s with their face are quite different grades of quality, don’t you think? Sure F-15E is not hard meta anymore (thank god), but it isn’t as hopeless to justify zomber behavior
What? After the Gaijin removed that 5000-meter condensation mark, I only fly at 7500 to 8200 meters, rare? Dude, where have you been? The number of Su-30SM and Su-27SM flying high now is immense, they reach 7500 or even 8000 meters quickly, obviously not as fast as Eurofighters etc., but at 40km you can fire with a considerable hit rate, and remember that the R77-1 still has the best acceleration in the game, I think.
How I do it: well, I climb at a 10-degree angle. The Su-30SM will always reach 7000 or 7500 at Mach 1.3. At 40km I fire. If I see an F-15E or Eurofighter at 30-35km I fire too. Of course, the chances are around 30%, maximum 35% of certainty. Even F-15E players generally don’t expect to be met by an R77 while flying straight and high to make spamraam, and ignore the RWR for a few seconds. Now you take all that and add it all up: Mach 1.3, the R77-1 with the best acceleration in the game will quickly cover the first 20km, and a player who decides to ignore its RWR for 6-9 seconds will be shot down. That’s why it became the second best plane in the game, behind that stupid French thing.
