i mean j-10c has basically the same air to air load but its smaller, lighter, better flight performance. all it does is carry 2 less ir missiles which imo doesn’t matter. they both carry 8 pl-15. so imo j-10c most effective barring 5th gen
Yeah ofc, but the j16d is the one Im more concerned with due to the focus on electronic warfare. It’s fair to say the EA-18G has proven how effective these aircraft are.
And I think in the future j16d might gets access to more extreme long range Aams than j10s by virtue of the airframe.

I kinda disagree, because f15ex should be able to carry 12-16x AIM-260 (iirc theyve completed testing and should be some in inventory)
which is very insane given the likely mach 2.7-2.9 top speed (from a boeing statement that got deleted) and datalink from 5th gens that are closer or other radar systems

I mean 16 is the confirmed load, if AMBER enters service it could easily go to 20
or even 24 if they uprate stations 1 and 9 (which is likely possible)

edit: actually iirc we have patents to AMBER so it is theoretically possible while we dont know if those stations can use double racks on flankers
no amber at least has been mocked up on real air craft irl. j16 dual rack is all paper concept on paper/on 3d rendering
lets say a normal air combat loadout:
4 belly + 8 wing fox3 = 12/ 16 if they dont carry wing fuel tank
16 - 4 ir aim9= 12 fox3
chinese flankers outside of su-35 do not have dual rack on the belly

Excluding the massive variable that is aim260. I would agree that f15ex shooting a pl15 equivalent(aim260 is at least that) would be extremely effective, that airframe + those avionics likely to be the most effective air supremacy 4.5 gen platform, but american missiles is a pretty massive question mark as it has always been the most classified figure.
Pl15s in their lowered range export variant have shown to hit targets allegedly 200km out and not just any aircraft but rafale and su30mki.
