lets say a normal air combat loadout:
4 belly + 8 wing fox3 = 12/ 16 if they dont carry wing fuel tank
16 - 4 ir aim9= 12 fox3
chinese flankers outside of su-35 do not have dual rack on the belly

Excluding the massive variable that is aim260. I would agree that f15ex shooting a pl15 equivalent(aim260 is at least that) would be extremely effective, that airframe + those avionics likely to be the most effective air supremacy 4.5 gen platform, but american missiles is a pretty massive question mark as it has always been the most classified figure.
Pl15s in their lowered range export variant have shown to hit targets allegedly 200km out and not just any aircraft but rafale and su30mki.
Does china still have su35 in active service? The have like 20 of em right?

And besides the reason why rafales were shot down was not because of a lack of missiles but because of abysmal mission planning and a failure on spectra’s side.

yeah I think french mains tend to overhype spectra. ew systems are not saving you.
Maybe but, these systems improve through utilization they need to go through the ringer, it’s likely not overhyped in terms of what it could do, but it’s likely overyhyped in terms of what I’d does now.
I think EW is going to be the main player in air warfare in the modern battlefield, especially in a CCA filled battlefield.
In gonna go off topic for a sec and say that I would be surprised if 6th gens aren’t at least twin seater designs, hell I think f35 needs a twin seater variant too. J20 has one and I think that pushes it over the F-22.
