Which original are you referring to here
Early 2000s ones, I should have put “Early/First batches” instead of “original” I suppose
They should just add both tbh
Btw the first match of MKI was closer to Su-30K than anything, what we call the MKI usually refers to the later batches that are closer to the SM
Yeah, both as UK premiums and you need to buy early to be able to buy late
And they’re like $200
yeah definetly significantly longer, i wonder how that affects su57, it has a pretty big weapon bay but thats quite long.
j16 is that
KH-58USHKE mock-ups that were shown recently should be around 4,19 meters long. R-77-1 is 3,71 meters. So there is some room to work with i think
it can definetly carry it im more concerned with ammunition depth.
Well, at least 2 per bay i think. Maybe 3 if there is a way to stack the third like on a launcher patent.

but this one takes R-77-1 length for the missiles.
Yeah kinda now that I think about it
It has good avionics, good weapons, good engines…
Currently I’d go as far to say that j16 has the most effective air to air loadout in the world, now that is of course taking it at face value(considering the Pakistani perfomance i think it’s more than fair to do so) purely from a alleged perfomance for the missile themselves, ofc that is with the understanding that the perfomance for aim120d3 is a pretty large question mark.
J16d is too much of an unknown but if it’s comparable to an ea-18g but more modern it’s likely to be a beast capable of threatening 5th gen aircraft.
I say this as a huge american aviation fan.
i mean j-10c has basically the same air to air load but its smaller, lighter, better flight performance. all it does is carry 2 less ir missiles which imo doesn’t matter. they both carry 8 pl-15. so imo j-10c most effective barring 5th gen
Yeah ofc, but the j16d is the one Im more concerned with due to the focus on electronic warfare. It’s fair to say the EA-18G has proven how effective these aircraft are.
And I think in the future j16d might gets access to more extreme long range Aams than j10s by virtue of the airframe.
I kinda disagree, because f15ex should be able to carry 12-16x AIM-260 (iirc theyve completed testing and should be some in inventory)
which is very insane given the likely mach 2.7-2.9 top speed (from a boeing statement that got deleted) and datalink from 5th gens that are closer or other radar systems
I’m giving to Caesar what is of Caesar.
Pl15es have took down multiple rafales, aim260s are still “virgin”.
Is this a real loadout?
100% totally real yes!
I mean 16 is the confirmed load, if AMBER enters service it could easily go to 20
or even 24 if they uprate stations 1 and 9 (which is likely possible)
