What can I say, yanks have sight issues (and memory issues, calling 69420 different versions of Sukhoi peak just a Flanker, or having dozens of M1 equipment)

The radar and IRST screens are pretty nice, like the mini jet silhouette that pops up on modern ESA now
Also the zoom ability, helps if there’s bunch of targets cluttered

Anyone tried the new TVC switch btw?
I was wondering if that copletely turns off the automatic tilt of the nozzles when you fly with the AOA limiter ON
I tried. With TVC on and AOA Limiter on you will get tilt during roll or initial stage of a turn like on live. With TVC on and AOA off you will get same result as disabling AOA limiter on live. With TVC off you just become a regular flanker with canards with and without AOA limiter.

Hmm that’s interesting, that could be somewhat useful to not bleed all the speed instantaneously, and maybe last a little longer in turn fights.
Probably will be most useful on Su-35 because it won’t have canrds that make you bleed a lot fo speed regardless of TVC.

TVC isn’t all that useful right now, because current IR missiles can be decoyed pretty easily in a dogfight. But maybe in the future if they get better IRCCM the extra AOA will help with HOBS shots.
True, at least the canards on the Su30sm/sm2 don’t seem to tilt as much as they do on the Su33 or 34, but that’s just visually, the datamine numbers might as well be the same, and therefore the bleed rate would be the same.

iirc canards aren’t even calculated as control surfaces, they are just for visuals

Russian CM also said that the 30SM will be going back up to 8, and that the nerf to 4 was for the MKM
Basically just says that the 30SM and SM2 nerfs were a mistake

Well I saw people saying it was a deserved nerf and were happy about it, I guess in their view it was no “artificial nerf”.

It’s only artificial if it’s not Russian vehicles. Balance and historical accuracy is when Russia looses, you know.
