At 13.3 you will face JAS39A, F-16ADF/MLU which are better than you at dogfighting, Su-30MKK’s biggest advantages are Pl-12/R73 combo in that br.
Is that the Chinese Su30? What kind of missile loadouts do people bring with it?
I do PL-12s and R-73s. Sometimes I bring R-27ERs, but usually it’s just R-73s & PL-12s.
Yeah I feel like that works best, I still miss the R-73s in J-11B.
I almost have the J-11B. Really looking forward to the upgraded radar and airframe.
It’s quite nice even in this meta, way better than even the J-10C for me since the kinetic performance and extra CMs are livesavers against the revived AMRAAM spam.

I wasn’t planning to get the J-10C for a while, not until it gets the WS-10B.
Well these cant get close to dogfight me. Plus pl8 are my new way as i do bvr, i tend to dive and launch pl8 on the one that cant see me.
6km shots are easy for pl8
They easily can get close to you, during my JAS39E grind i used my talismaned JAS39A and killed multiple Premium SU-30’s by simply closing the distance and force them to dogfight.
Experienced player can easily notch or multipath your Fox-3 missiles and forces you to dogfight in their Gripen/F-16 which both of them beats SU-30 in dogfight easily.
Depend on how both player react.
Your only option is to force them to defend agaisnt your fox-3 missiles, in other cases both JAS39/F-16 are superior to you in most ways, if both players are equally experienced then JAS39/F-16 will eventually beat you by forcing you into 1vs1.
I’ve seen this scenario countless times.
Then we’ll have to wait until i go against them.
does anyone feel that the su30mkk radar is limited to 50km detection no matter what i try ?
Im pretty sure the N001 can’t detect a target in TWS over 50km, I think using TWS HDN increases it to like 70km if I remember correctly

also a other question, i have some trouble where the radar, in tws, wont change vertical and i need to change it manualy. is it suppose to do that ?
Yeah that’s another thing with the N001 it doesn’t follow the target vertically when when a target is TWS softlocked unlike other radar sets, so you will have to use the manual controls a lot more

Radar on Su-30MKK can detect targets in TWS mode up to 80kms while in TWS HDN mode it can detect them up to 100kms without any issue.
As soon as I start the game I can pick up targets from 80+Km’s in MKK if they are in radar range.
