Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

Nah. Su-37 have better engine.

That is my fear with the Su-35s or Su-30SM2… that more Thrust would end being a bigger problem because the plane could easily reach speed were it lock and only can perform 7g/8g turns.

Idk about Su-30sm2 but Su-35s should be the first jet in game to be able to SUSTAIN 10g. All other and even the most modern F-15EX are only able to Sustain 9g and able to perform for low time more than 12g.

Not matter what Chinese said. That plane its heavy as a Su-30sm an heavy than Su-35s and have less engine power than Su-35s. The radar its unknow and IRBIS is still the best radar until fantasy GaN radar from 2030 start to appear in game.

If AL-51 end having around 40000 lbf /18000kgf I’ll said that they’re equals. At best the West its just a few years a head with Additive manufacturing. But that tech its not as hard as Extreme ultraviolet lithography.

Spoiler

That its a Kh31 against a plane?

Ok I will bite based on what, what allows a Su-35 to sustain 10g…Bare in mind the pilot would likely black out in any sustained 10g turn.

Why cant a Rafale or a Typhoon achieve this almost certainly an F-22 could…And that was in service way before Su-35S was.

J-16 will use it’s missile to be more effective PL-17s and PL-15s will still be brutally effective even if the airframe is a little slower than the Russian equivalents.

Wasn’t the 10gs only for the su-35/su-27m? Su-35s is still limited to 9gs.

He means the airframe is rated for 10gs… However, that is only for the preproduction su-35/su-27m, which is a completely different aircraft from the su-35s.

Right he means airframe ratings fair enough, most I have seen have in the region of +9/-3g

Typhoon certainly is

Yup, su-35s limited to 9gs here.

even though it says su-35 not su-35s, we know its an su-35s by looking at the other pages of the brochure, as it has the no35 irbis radar, oleps 35 irst and the su-35s cockpit

Exactly, you would just end up compressing badly, I would like the improved acceleration, especially to give more kinetic energy to the R-77-1, but notching would become way more difficult.

More or less yes, it’s a passive radar seeker AAM

Su-37 also loses out on the TIALD TGP making CAS weaponry much less usable on it

I mean, considering the state of Soviet top tier CAS… do we really need another CAS jet? Personally would prefer a strong air superiority (and CAP in TRB)

The reason why i’m saying 703 would be cooler is because ot can do both, it’s like the 30SM in that way

Me when TVC works as inteded:
happy
(It’s 1/10 times)

only thing that missed is you getting 3rd partied afterwards, because you were slow

The bad ending

Besting a Typhoon is close range dogfight…

Shows how poor Typhoons fm is

Typhoon like Rafale matched and defeated an F-22 WVR…Su-30 is not on Typhoons level

the typhoon shouldnt be winning a slow speed df against a plane with TVC

a EF should never get into a slow speed df

it is well known that the EF has a 25° AOA limiter IRL, with which you wont win a slow speed knife fight against a TVC plane

Typhoon is the best DF in game wth are u talking abt…

In the same exact scenario, with a Rafale playing the same way the Eurofighter did, it would have lost regardless, if you take a dogfight so slow like this against a Su-30 you are gonna open opportunities for it.

All dogfights get slow.
You cant dogfight at mach 1.2.
We can see a Rafale beating an F-22
In a slow prolonged dogfight Rafale beat an F-22

If we substitute that F-22 for a Su-30…why in game would the result be different?
