AESA scan speed has been limited because Gaijin do not believe it is real or in other words it would be better than Russias best Radar the IRBIS. Can flare an R-73 cannot flare 4 of them and 6 R-77-1 or even an R-27ER used in dogfight range.
You don’t keep up to date but even scroll up here and Su-30s are clowning on Gripens/Rafales and Typhoons in BVR and Close range.
Su-30 has received tonnes of buffs, additional missiles being the huge one and a brand new missile that was better than the 120C in every metric, Gaijin somehow think the 120C is worse at closer ranges than the A and B because it has shorter fins?
Unflarable, have you not seen how Gaijin have modelled the IRIS-T and 9X very much flarable.
Well R-27ER is also a massively overperforming joke in game the undefeatable missile, cannot be chaffed, cannot be kinematically defeated and MP is the only way to sometimes beat them.
And every nation with no MICA/R-77-1 equivalent should just stay in a perpetual state of imbalance because IIR missiles are scary?
My guy, i play Russia and was active on the update, I was the dudes clowning all these guys, but i know the weaknesses of my jet far more better than most here, Competitive players from tournaments also know the limitations of the R73/r77-1/ERs they are not dogfighting missiles.
And even a suggestion moderator has already cleared up the confusion about “AESA SHOULD BE MUCH BETTER THAN PESA” with the ingame mechanics we have.
it didnt lmao. show me the buffs.
Me when SLM was the reasoning russia lost its winrate in June. its quite unflareable. ER overpeforming? go bug report if u think thats the case.
PESA will update TWS targets outside the scan angle exactly the same as any other TWS ESA radar, there is no differentiation coded into the game for PESA vs AESA
then bug report it? it wont change anything and ur specifying scan rate, im talking about actually mechanic of Updating pas the stabilized scope and locking mechanics for notching the radar and other features
That means u didnt read the bug report, these were datamined values, you have not read it, stop talking to me because there is no point
There is a limit to how far they can update past their TWS scan zones. and this bug report specifies that. It is only on PESA radars, not on AESA radars, and is realistic to PESA
PESA and AESA work the same in game, due to how complexity of coding in AESA (iirc).
Russia’s best radar is the Byelka, the AESA radar on the Su-57.
I can believe that, yeah. Bars/Irbis + R-77-1 is a pretty good combo for BVR. Especially on the SM2 since it has good acceleration.
100% a skill issue on the Delta Canard side.
The main buff that came to the Su-30SM (The one which got the upgraded missiles) was the addition of emergency power, which increased engine thrust past 600 kmph. It wasn’t anything major but it was a needed addition since the Su-30SM was (and still is) incredibly anemic.
It shouldn’t be that way. Gaijin should buff the AIM-120C’s.
All IR missiles are flarable. They probably gimped the IRS-T and 9X for balance reasons.
SLM Russians had to learn they couldn’t just fly straight and use their Kh-38s. Gaijin fixed that though by adding GNSS to the Kh-38s and increasing the lock range. They also crapped on the SLM with this 4km - 10km lock window change.
They are dogfighting missiles because they can be used in low speed situations because they pull right off the rail and they pull great G. 9Ms don’t neither does a 120, in slow low speed scenarios it is only France/Russia and China who have missiles that can be used.
R-27ER is overperforming in how the DL works it should act more like an Aim7P but instead they just never lose track. A shot from in the 8km range and the target is dead.
They have specific said it was to help combat IRCM mechanic, i dont know what to tell you other than its not a nerf lmao. The datalink will guide it closer to the jet and thats a buff lmao.
And most spaas can shoot down kh38s, if they arent thats a skill issue, you also have an option to take eurofighter or rafale into the skies of GRB and easily mog the 30sm.
Tell the US to go back in time and make one? Oh wait they didnt really.
7P=ERs. They have pretty much the same mechanics of DL+IOG. Kinematics is the difference, and there is no “over performance” you have not proved such a thing at all.
The R-27ER is indeed overperforming in the DL function. And Gaijin really needs to fix the Sparrow tracking.
Most Shots from Fox-1s within 8km would hit.
The current close range Fox-2 setup is pretty balanced. Things like R-73 and PL-8B are good at close range (1-3km) from rear aspect, while things like the 9M, AAM-3, and 9L/I are great at side aspects and further ranges (3-5km)
The Kh-38s, specifically the MT, should be removed.
We can keep the ML but other countries should also get cruise missiles to balance it out. This could also lead to the re-introduction of the Grom-1.
Well 9Ms could lock from further ranges and had far greater flare rejection than they have in game. It would be a start.
As for use your Typhoon to shoot them down, Typhoons Radar couldn’t find them Captor-M could find nothing. Radar upgrade on Typhoon is a massive welcome inclusion
The overperformance lies in the inability to disrupt the DL with CMs and you cannot reliably notch them.
Lets do it lmao? I would love eurocanards suffering the same fate as well. Raptor mogging
Funny how eurofighters dont even have a proper ESA jet in service and were received into the game. Only one close to coming to service is the german one. Yet to happen tho
