Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

Rafale maintained it a for a year and never got that spotlight, Ive heard terms like “busted” “Op” in an instant when youtubers or content creators or forum thread dwellers talking 30sm2. You guys never pushed the community managers to respond about any nato performing extremely well. Because anything nato performing well wether its breaking the damn game, because “accuracy”

Soon as a russian vic comes? Everyone asking devs to monitor performance eh?? Isnt it funny guys? We need a BR raise too(instantly people are pestering CMs about rank 9 or 15.0)

You know whats funny? People were comparing su30sm to J-11B on release. Saying su30sm is DOA, and for the next several months of the 30sm’s time in the game, people saw it as nothing but pretty much a missile boat. So when the devs give a jet like JUST engine upgrades, and a radar that can look past 90 degrees, whilst even other nations received such radars(uk,italy,Sweden) it became an issue. I mean gaijin set precedence on it, i never thought it would be a thing but here we are, but on top of that getting more missiles for most nations, everyone got atleast 2x more arh to the US mains getting 4x arh for their F-15s. And yet we only received an engine overhaul that makes simply go decently fast with our 18.8 Tonne jet lol. In a dogfight flankers still lack any lift or the speed bleed is insane to the point you suffer with the automatic thrust vectoring you can turn off.

On top of that we dont have 360° rwr, we have no maws, we also dont have the insane CM that almost every nation has. Yet, just cuz of one mechanic which is not even that op, you guys freak out instantly because its russia and you guys cant see pass the bigger picture.

Yep, the fm was super cracked for most 4th gen fighters in the game. A little under of the eft, but nothing at all bad. 21 G performance in terms of full and great recovery after maneuvers were done. Mica an exceptional missile with 50Gs, excellent kinematic performance and thrust vectoring already dominating the notch-notch type of games we en counter in rb. It was already fine

Yet 9Js couldn’t lock as reliably neither could 9Ds

The Rafale and MICA have both rightfully been the main target of complaints for the past year or so when talking about top tier air. Russia is mostly targeted in top tier ground because of the fake KH-38, dubious damage models, and more recently OP LMUR.

But clearly, you haven’t been paying attention if you didn’t see all the constant complaints about the Rafale.

No Gaijin padded the Su-30 it received more missiles because it was falling behind well now it has the 2nd best overall FM, the best Payload in all game modes, the best Radar despite it being PESA.
And now what is happening well it’s the meta jet, not because it’s good IRL or in terms of realism but because Gaijin have just thrown so much stuff at it.

We are at a point now where anytime any jet merges with a Su-30 you automatically lose and you lose because if you are in a jet with 9Ms and 120s you cannot use your missiles.

It’s time for a 120/MICA/PL-12 buff and whatever other none R-77-1 we have left out. It’s also time to start receiving their HOB IR missiles. Imagine that F-15 you are bullying could crack off a 9X or a Typhoon could use an IRIS-T/ASRAAM. These jets are purposely being held in these states to allow Su-30 to dominate.

Sooner or later these systems will have to come to the game and while Russia is behind on IIR development that should not stifle other nations from being competitive.

Lmao? The plane is still a boat. Have you played the 30sm/30sm2 in a dogfight? Gripen/F-2/Eurfoighter/J-10/rafale all will still beat in a dogfight, if you cant flare a R-73 thats your issue lol. Also the pesa has its limitations in game as well, there are certain stabilized zones where past that the targets dont not get updated. For 30sm its 90x81 and 30sm2 its 120x81 even thats inaccurate and bug reports have went up for it. While aesa jets do not have such a problem, and their targets will updated on the extreme gimbal limits without having to move the radar dish to the sides. Pesas do not have such a thing, and have a limited update gimbal. And the su30sm received no buffs either the entire time. You simply are waffling about it and it did not destroy balance like rafale or eurofighter did

Cant flare a simple gatewidth R-73 IRCCM, and instantly complains about tvc missiles, forgets mica is a 50G vs R-73 40G tvc missile and is even more insane.

And now wants these long range IIR missiles will not be breaking game balance eh? The hypocrisy but go for it, my ER knows no bounds

AESA scan speed has been limited because Gaijin do not believe it is real or in other words it would be better than Russias best Radar the IRBIS. Can flare an R-73 cannot flare 4 of them and 6 R-77-1 or even an R-27ER used in dogfight range.
You don’t keep up to date but even scroll up here and Su-30s are clowning on Gripens/Rafales and Typhoons in BVR and Close range.
Su-30 has received tonnes of buffs, additional missiles being the huge one and a brand new missile that was better than the 120C in every metric, Gaijin somehow think the 120C is worse at closer ranges than the A and B because it has shorter fins?

Unflarable, have you not seen how Gaijin have modelled the IRIS-T and 9X very much flarable.
Well R-27ER is also a massively overperforming joke in game the undefeatable missile, cannot be chaffed, cannot be kinematically defeated and MP is the only way to sometimes beat them.

And every nation with no MICA/R-77-1 equivalent should just stay in a perpetual state of imbalance because IIR missiles are scary?

Israel was one of the first tech trees to recive an aesa fighter

the Kifir C10

Low speed 1v1 dogfights are rarely top tier relevant lol

Top tier AESA fighter*, preferably tech tree. Here, better?

this is not true, TWS ESA works the same on all planes that have it

My guy, i play Russia and was active on the update, I was the dudes clowning all these guys, but i know the weaknesses of my jet far more better than most here, Competitive players from tournaments also know the limitations of the R73/r77-1/ERs they are not dogfighting missiles.

And even a suggestion moderator has already cleared up the confusion about “AESA SHOULD BE MUCH BETTER THAN PESA” with the ingame mechanics we have.

it didnt lmao. show me the buffs.

Me when SLM was the reasoning russia lost its winrate in June. its quite unflareable. ER overpeforming? go bug report if u think thats the case.

please properly read the bug reports, It can give u a clear understanding what i was referring to. Pesa have a slightly different mechanic

the scan rate of the eurofighter AESA within a 70 degree scan limit (so that the gimbal does not have to move) is underperforming by around 8x

PESA will update TWS targets outside the scan angle exactly the same as any other TWS ESA radar, there is no differentiation coded into the game for PESA vs AESA

then bug report it? it wont change anything and ur specifying scan rate, im talking about actually mechanic of Updating pas the stabilized scope and locking mechanics for notching the radar and other features

That means u didnt read the bug report, these were datamined values, you have not read it, stop talking to me because there is no point

There is a limit to how far they can update past their TWS scan zones. and this bug report specifies that. It is only on PESA radars, not on AESA radars, and is realistic to PESA

PESA and AESA work the same in game, due to how complexity of coding in AESA (iirc).

Russia’s best radar is the Byelka, the AESA radar on the Su-57.

I can believe that, yeah. Bars/Irbis + R-77-1 is a pretty good combo for BVR. Especially on the SM2 since it has good acceleration.

100% a skill issue on the Delta Canard side.

The main buff that came to the Su-30SM (The one which got the upgraded missiles) was the addition of emergency power, which increased engine thrust past 600 kmph. It wasn’t anything major but it was a needed addition since the Su-30SM was (and still is) incredibly anemic.

It shouldn’t be that way. Gaijin should buff the AIM-120C’s.

All IR missiles are flarable. They probably gimped the IRS-T and 9X for balance reasons.

Skill issue.

SLM Russians had to learn they couldn’t just fly straight and use their Kh-38s. Gaijin fixed that though by adding GNSS to the Kh-38s and increasing the lock range. They also crapped on the SLM with this 4km - 10km lock window change.

They are dogfighting missiles because they can be used in low speed situations because they pull right off the rail and they pull great G. 9Ms don’t neither does a 120, in slow low speed scenarios it is only France/Russia and China who have missiles that can be used.

R-27ER is overperforming in how the DL works it should act more like an Aim7P but instead they just never lose track. A shot from in the 8km range and the target is dead.
