People were constantly complaining that Rafale should’ve been nerfed, it’s on you for not noticing that.
Constantly? They surely didnt make it as active as su30sm2 should get weakened threads did in a day of messages lmao. The hype or activity is always intense when its russian. Stop trying to tell me otherwise
And su30sm2 threads was active before the damn jet even came to live servers. People were freaking about it on dev. Remind where were rafales thread even remotely close to that level activity?
funny thing is that such hype is possible only with RU vehicles.
IMO, it would be better to discuss about US needs a proper top tier (15ex) instead of making clones of topics about how OP 30sm2 is.
It’s not OP. It’s just a bit closer to top competitors, just deal that era of Rafaele stomping comes to its end (ye ye bois in the end you will be facing f-22s and su-57s playing ur Rafaele ;) )
Literally the entire match spent flying at over 10km altitude at over 1800km/h
Two hits at 30km, and three above 19km
Turns out when you leave your afterburners on all the time, lets IR missiles lock easier at wider angles
F-22s began being fit with Scorpion HMD at the start of 2025.
Along with that, F-22s finished testing a sensor upgrade, which should include IRST and MAWS.
But since it was tested on a F-22, by Gaijins logic they can give the F-22 MAWS, IRST, and HMD.
Here, this one works for the SM2.
I’ve just taken to doing it myself.
All you really have to do is copy a Su-30SM2.Blk into the skin folder, and then make the SM2 skin data route to the SM User skin.
(SM)

(SM2)

I haven’t really had any issues with any skins I’ve done this to so far.
Can’t wait to watch all these SM2 skins get broken once an updated model with the missing 14CMs comes out (So like, in 6 months).
It’s not exclusive to RU, any of the Big 3 getting something clearly broken is going to make more waves than a minor nation getting something that eventually got buffed too much. Su-30SM2 was literally on dev performing amazingly while on dev, Rafale was mediocre and limited to much weaker loadouts. It took gaijin at least a few months to make Rafale broken. But once Rafale became top dog, everyone constantly cried about it. Again, your skill issue for not managing to see any of that.
It was not, lmao. It was great on the dev server, it was just buffed to be even better after release
pretty interesting, so new slats compartments are just texture on the skin, and not even a separate one.
No, I think the SM2 uses a different skin map than the SM, but since it’s so similar it’ll just glitch to a similar color.

The new slats on the UN skin is a diff shade of black, and on the Red 15 skin it’s a diff shade of blue.
Just altering the .blk won’t make a SM skin into an SM2 skin, it’ll have a few glitches and such…
But in game you’re not gonna notice, unless you’re staring at every inch of your skin in perfect lighting.
yeah, i used similar tweaks with some of the Bf 109 and MiG-21 skins
Judging by how long it took for gaijin to fix Su-30SM canards, pylons between nacelles and wing roots, we will get 14 countermeasures in about 6 months from now on.
??? Are you serious, where have you been for the past year? The Rafale(And MICA) are probably two of the most complained things about, on Reddit, Youtube, and the forum. The Rafale topic is up to part 2 now, with most of part 1 and 2 being complaints.
And yes, certain trees can rightfully complain when for example Israel still doesn’t have an AESA fighter, or the USA has to deal with probably the worst 14.3 in the game, both the Golden Eagle and F-18E are an absolute joke when compared to the Rafale or Eurofighter at the same BR.
Second honorable mention to the US tree now being the absolute worst CAS nation at top tier with planes, still missing GBU-53s when Spice have now been added to other nations that needed proper CAS, including the stupid 16 spice 250 loadout on the Gripen E.(Was refused last patch on the F-16I because apparently bad for balance? Okay)
Russia doesn’t have an AESA fighter either
PESA pretty much works the same as AESA in War Thunder. They’re even classified the same in X-ray. If it was accurate, the AESA radars would be able to heavily jam the PESA mounted on russian fighters, especially since PESA have predictable emissions while AESA changes frequency pulse-to-pulse, making AESA extremely hard to jam.
Furthermore, AESA are still missing their LPI mode, which would make them virtually invisible on RWR.
I support adding this feature, if it is true
Then your original comment will be relevant when these features are added. As of right now, Russian radars in WT function like AESA.
-
The AESA passively intercepts the PESA’s emissions. It measures frequency, pulse repetition frequency (PRF), beam timing, scan pattern. PESA radars emit high-power, predictable signals, making them easy to characterize.
-
The AESA injects tailored interference. Instead of blasting noise everywhere, the AESA focuses energy only toward the PESA. It matches the PESA’s frequency and timing and uses coherent jamming on it.
This creates wrong range, wrong speed, and multiple ghost aircraft
PESA struggles big time here because it cannot change waveforms fast enough like an AESA can and its tracking filters assume stable returns. A PESA radar has no solution against AESA, only mitigation like shorter range to brute force through the jamming or datalink,
