There’s no way in hell this is an AL-31F. Even the AL-31FN-5 showed directly next to both the supposed 177S and 41F-1S in India differed GREATLY visually, let alone what differences may arise in distinct modules themselves.
At the very most the '177S could be an upgrade on the '117S, though that brings into question what needed to happen to attach a Kuznetsov style IFM to a Lyulka core…

Virupaksha is a powerfull radar with 2400 T/R modules, probably the most powerfull radar placed on a fighter jet. Other than that it is equipped GaN modules. It also has horizontal steering for good coverage. It may be the best radar on a fighter jet once su30mki are equipped with it.
Well 2400 T/R isn’t that far ahead, considering we don’t know about the config on j20, J35, F35 or F22 (new radars). Even certain other 4th gens are known to have a load of T/R modules. APG81 has allegedly around 1600 T/R modules.

At transonic speeds and higher altitudes I wouldn’t be afraid to say the EF is equal to or better than a modern Sukhoi. The EF wasn’t built for low speeds and for post stall maneuvering, you can’t have everything. The designers preferred energetic maneuvering, higher speeds and higher altitudes.
Well if they apply AL41 to Su35 the jet will be 34 tonnes of max take off weight vs potentially 35 tonnes of thrust. Vs 23 tonne to 18 tonne for EF.

This al41 is not the AL41 I am talking about. This ‘al41F’ is essentially upgraded AL31.
but that dosent mean they have a higher thrust to weight or better acceleration
only if the freaking snail really wants the su35 to be weak, just like they did with the flankers when they first came out, and kind of like they’re doing now by not giving these jets their real relative performance
edit: for some reason mig29 and su27 are the only fourth generation jets that cant have an Oswald Factor between 0.75~0.85 +/- like any other normal jet from their generation lol
