Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 2)

I mean, after saying the Eurofighter is trash in it’s current state?
That’s a pretty appropriate response.

The eurofighter is OBJECTIVELY one of the best planes in the game, some may argue even the best, though i think the best one is the Rafail.

Thats why you use the HMD

Granted I’m playing RB. But I really don’t see what would make that much of a difference in RB.

Unless the RWR comes with IRIS-T, AIM-120D or C-8 I could only envision the speed on the large maps beeing a pleasure but that should not be something that gives you a guaranteed advantage.

With a radar that is completely spooked?

Even if you get the HMS to work in another aircraft I would have already fired the missile and entered a notch.

Bit of a bold Hyperbole perhaps considering SB but compared to Rafale still fitting I say.

Its not

Cool, and from what range would you exactly have launched those missiles? Either way, you can do the same with the EF, you can notch and/or multipath incoming missiles then turn around

Bold indeed.

Idk what the current argument is about but the Su27 (13.0) and the Su30 (14.0) are both very fun rn

he is saying su27sm is better than the EF

Wonder if 27SM gonna get it double racks removed as well as engines if Snail to add 27SM3 (Why do add? Because more grind, thata why. Plus 27SM with better radar and missiles… oooh baby (well… it does have them better than 27SM1, right?))

27SM3 dosent get a better radar, it gets 2 extra wing pylons just like the su-30

so if they remove the double rack and give us 2 extra wing pylons nothing would have had changed

iirc everything that can take the normal r77 can also take the r77-1

Wasnt it also got access to double racks like 30SM and 35?

only the su-35s has been seen with the double racks

iirc it has something to do with the engines being a bit further apart on the su-35s

also if you want to tell the different variants apart:

So all in all no difference. Damn, wish we had a “lighter” 30SM. Its good, but God it feels so fat at times (especially after flying J-11B)

well, what you are asking for is the Su-35S

Isnt it also heavier? Plus Im having a feeling we wouldn’t see it anytime soon (we already made a huge leap from “Introduction” 4th Gens to ESA radars)

iam not exactly sure about the weight of the su-35, but regardless of that it is going to have better engines wich will help alot and maybe one day gaijin manages to implement TVC in a way so it actually works (we probably have to wait for the f-22 for that to happen tho)

and another problem that is making the su-30 feel really heavy ingame is likely missing lift at lower speeds

then no ef is obviously better, su30 offers a much better comparison but is still debated

Su-35s is going to be a fat pig at 19500ish kg, give or take 300ish kg empty. Sure, it gets upgraded engines (thus having similar thrust to weight to original su-27s, but it’s at least 2500kg heavier than the original su-27s which means higher wing loading and this higher compression.

It’s also a guaranteed death to launch a r27ER against a fox3 carrier in most cases. It’s far from being a bad missile and sometimes it really shines but if you launch against any 13.7-14.0 jet that it’s not at ~5km from you chances are he’ll turn around while you’ll keep going for his missile, resulting in your death and your 27ER stopping tracking the enemy.
