Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 1)

They removed it from the MiG-21 if I recall correctly and they are not using emergency only modes for F-15. They are using “WAR” settings such as the 102% throttle for F-15 but not the VMAX emergency setting if that makes sense.

The Su-30SM is 19,710kg (not empty) according to primary documentation.

I was playing the bison. And that thing is still really fast… So i was under the impression that they still use it.

That make more sense.

I was wrong, 19,710kg is loaded not empty. I had to double check.

102% was the standard engine thrust, due to major problems with the F-100 engines the thrust was reduced. After the problems were fixed, all F-15s used 102% thrust.
102% engine trim is 100% of the F-100 PW 100 engine thrust. Vmax was not used.

That’s what I said, they are not using emergency only modes for the F-15.

Maybe the Su-35s Weight more because of RAM? I read somewhere that Every layer of RAM paint its around 250 kilos.

Also anyone has Info about 177s engines?

27EA most definitely exists, and K-77M isn’t an Su-57-specific weapon.

The T-90 was named such as it was a part of the 1990-1992 mass modernization of vehicles, and its upgrade warranted a new name. It shares little to nothing with the 1989 T-72, instead being founded on the 1990 T-72.

Can you send any information about them?

This is still irrelevant to the thread and my point still stands. Nothing I said was in error. The T-90 moniker is not warranted as it is not a new tank design and it absolutely lost a ton of reputation after 1991.

The Su-35 uses a lot of composites and lighter weight materials but the weight is not saved much. My calculations could be wrong and it could very well be 50% fuel and the empty weight could very well be in excess of 18,500kg.

Such as?

You were the one and only person in over 3k comments to mention the T-90, and you did such in response to a reply about missiles.

Don’t point fingers when you’re the one causing the issue.

It absolutely is? The entire basis of the T-90 was founded on the irtish system, and it received a different name due to its change in nationality.

What lost reputation? The tank wasn’t shown to the world until close to a decade later, with countries effectively jumping for it in the 2000s.
Hell, the tank itself didn’t even exist in 1991…

if use this as a reference

Su-30sm dry weight 25891-2574-3547=19770kg

I didn’t cause an issue, what I said was at the time relevant and correct.

Nonsense.

Manufacturer primary source material says loaded weight is 19,710kg

You brought up an “irrelevant” talking point and called it out as such when I replied to your comment.

Relevant and correct? You replied to THIS.

with THIS

Sound argument, I love the use of facts and objective proof to counter what I said.

You’re a joke.

With SU30SM capability, I really doubt it will be great 14.0 material unless it does get R-77-1 with Su-27SM dual pylon loadout. Even then I doubt it will be that efficient since R-77s will still suck quite a bit and the T/W ratio isn’t the best anyways. Also 96 CM will not help u challenge AMRAAM spam. Maybe let’s wait and see how a better radar does on a flanker first, and what they do with J11B if it comes first. Really need some decompression as well.

100%, fighting those Fox3s monsters in a mig29 isn’t nice

Even F16s suffer cause AIM7Ms are useless. I really think they are stuck in an awkward spot. Decompression to 14.7 is required.
