1 advantage of sim is the lack of markers, that’s where IRST is really strong because you can sneak up on people
Then they aren’t using it right. The advantages of the Su-27SM are amplified in ARB since it has better situational awareness than it normally would.

I always thought the flanker was more than enough for the meta even when they used t-10 documents to model it because of its powerful payload (although it wasn’t nice to have such a lazily made FM)…

It’s not because the IRST is significantly underperforming, and it’s interaction with the FCS is also incorrect, but that’s a symptom of the implementation for all in-game not just the Su-27.
You’re better off just keeping an R-73 spooled up and looking around than you are using the IRST.
In what part of IRST is really strong = underperforming? People literally turn off the crappy N001 set and hug the ground against space climbing blufor just to ambush them with ETs (and the lack of markers helps with that)

There’s literally a trend in ASB rn because blufor got comfy and complacent with ARH slinging and aren’t able to properly counter the mid as heck 30SM

That is not what the response to that report says, but I will test his numbers when I get home. Half the time I read these I feel like it’s people trying to do it with mouse aim, or dampening on because they can’t control it in Manual.
trust me,
a tgp with thermals is a thousand times more useful than only having the irst

From what I’ve been reading seems like the ranging capability is greatly exaggerated … It should be only a few kilometers … Essentially for a gun solution for the most part …
