Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 1)

Well that’s strange, what value does it have right now?
Also Oswald makes it “feel fat” in turns, acceleration wise (which is what I was mostly referring too since with bvr good acceleration and climb are the important parameters) it is just (mostly) a matter of thrust versus weight

I think in case of T/W ratio su-33 still might be better

Only by 570kg in the datamine files

18400 vs 18970

Su-33 has a better afterburner thrust than either 27 and 30sm

Ur correct, i got things wrong mb

No

The inductive drag of the Su-30 should be lower than that of the Su-27

A new saga of FM fixing begins

Is the Su-27 in WT still bad at the moment?

Curious, You would think the more bulbous airframe with canards would produce more drag?

Does that translate to the Su-35 platform too?

Man, we’ve been there since the beginning

It got a little buff during storm warning. And hornet sting fixed radars across the board

Why would the Su-30sm’s induced drag be lower?

Bad

Canard provide profile drag, but not inductive

Canards
Provided that the aircraft masses are equal

it looks like the su30sm has been “nerfed” with this latest dev server update… it seems heavier and with the limiter off it can’t do tvc things as fast as before D: (that’s what people are saying)

Yeah you can kinda tell the difference, feels more sluggish and, as you said, slower in pulling those TVC maneuvers.

and they still won’t give it AL-41, they never will because any meaningful discussion of Russian jets get silenced by shouts of russian bias
