Sukhoi Su-27/30/33/35/37 Flanker series & Su-34 Fullback - History, Design, Performance & Dissection (Part 1)

First time since MLD was introduced Russia is on a somewhat even field, and it instantly makes people mad.

I’ve noticed since the patch a decent increase in people multipathing

wait until they discover that if missile coming from above close to 90 degrees angle multipath will be extremely unreliable

Does anyone have a real picture of a Kh-38MT btw?

Yea you forget the overnerfed flight model and awful twr. You forget the r73 often oversping and basically very easy to dodge. You forget the r77-1 have the biggest drag. You forget the f16, f15, ef2k, rafale, gripen, m2k, j10, j11b better than su30 in every aspect

120 cannot do what the R-77-1 can.
R-77-1 can pull harder a 120 within 7km doesnt pull like an R-77-1.

With the change to BVR as in players arent doing it.
We end up in the short to medium range and the R-77-1 and MICA are the meta missiles.

Su-30 is probably the 2nd best jet in the game.

The tradeoff for the aim120 having much better longer range longevity

Which becomes less relevant
As players are now flying lower or defending better.

R-77-1 and MICA are the new meta.

There is not a Russian player that would swap 8 120s for 12 R-77-1

Still as relevant as always.

There’s a reason why the best loadouts for the Su-27/30SM’s are a mix of R-77/1’s and R-27’s.

R-27 is great because of how fast it is and it’s acceleration and chaff resistance

R-77-1 is great as it can do everything…

120 can only go far as it doesnt pull.
Its long range is good, its medium to short is poor.

You cannot sit in the notch throwing 120s at short range they will miss. You can with R-77-1 and MICAs.

When the F-15E wss added everyone was high trying to BVR now it’s a handful of players and the payload of the Su-30 just dominates them.

Because it has long-range longevity, unlike the R-77’s.

But it is a heavy loadout on an already heavy plane, so I also have a lighter version of it, ~1t less.

The R-77-1’s lack the long range pressure of the R-27’s or AIM120’s, especially since the Su-30 engines restrict your battlefield presence further back behind your teammates even before the engagement starts.

But you can use them to force the enemy into going defensive, while pressing the advantage with R-27ER’s, R-27ET’s and R-73’s.

Funnily enough, that’s one thing people don’t do enough, pressing the advantage.

It really is like clockwork, LMAO massive skill issue, cry more

LMAO they hate the truth

Having 12 of them means you can put pressure on the 120s jets.
Your Radar is better, the missile is better in 2 out of the 3 engagement envelopes.

Su-30 is in game and in terms of current meta the joint best jet in the game.

And the aim120 jets can apply pressure back. That’s the art of BVR jousting. Typical engagements, pressing the advantage closes the distance after only a couple of fox3’s.

12 missiles comes more into play over the longterm battle than individual engagements, but then War Thunder matches are won/lost in the first few minutes anyway, in those first plays.

Its what makes the Typhoon such an incredible jet, TWR and exceptional missiles gives it incredible pressure against enemy jets in the individual engagements.

Your rating under 800 and mine almost 3000
Looks like u have massive skill issue

And yet you are the one moaning that it’s bad?

And frankly I could care less about a rating that is influenced so much by ASB, when a majority of my usage with it is in GSB which requires different play styles.

I could very easily sit in EC matches with it to inflate it and make you look like the fool you are though o7

Hahahaha bro went profile digging…weak

Look at this forum and look at reddit not a single Russian main complaining about the Su-30 or R-77-1.

Dosent matter you are bad and incompetent spam the 38mt in gsb is 0 skill

One V One.
Su-30 is going to beat a Typhoon.

Typhoon is fast, thats pretty much it.

Typhoons Radar is a liability, it’s payload is one of the weakest. 120s are good at longer range and 9ms are well fine they dont pull G and cant be used in a dogfight.

The Su-30 will find Typhoon first it will be in a position to apply pressure and keep Typhoon on the defensive until it gets into realistic killing ranges
It then sits in the notch and uses up the other 5+ missiles it has.

All Typhoon can do in that case is try and multipath or run away and go cold

If that doesnt work and it merges with Typhoon the R-73 and Cobra button give it more of an advantage.

No, not really.

Great payload.

The AIM9M’s are exceptional combined with the AIM-120’s. Forcing the enemy to go defensive against one puts them into the kill-zone of the other

Because the massive engine difference, the Typhoon has the advantage of position, usually in early game altitude while the SU-30 is still climbing.

Ah the old cobra meme button, I love when people fall for that trick sometimes, very cinematic.
