Given that the current severe imbalance in faction strength has led many players to leave the game, I have a proposal for new gameplay mechanics to address faction balance. I hope the development team will give it serious consideration. The specific suggestions are as follows:
- Design a fictional alien faction as an adversary for the Soviet faction. This alien faction should possess capabilities that absolutely overpower the NATO bloc, and should include its own land vehicles, air vehicles, naval vessels, and helicopter units. One or multiple such alien factions could be introduced to prevent gameplay from becoming stale when using Soviet vehicles (since alien vehicles are fictional creations, their strength can be determined entirely by the developers). Meanwhile, vehicles from other existing nations should be grouped separately for matchmaking to achieve better game balance. After all, not pairing Soviet vehicles against this alien threat would significantly underestimate their intended strength.
- Implement a one-click faction filter option for matchmaking. Players could select which factions they do not wish to face, and the matchmaking system could then assemble matches based on these collective preferences. This would help prevent scenarios where factions with overpowered or “bug-like” capabilities dominate exclusively, enhance the diversity of player experiences, and improve overall game quality.
