Both new and veteran players would love the chance to once again obtain vehicles that were previously removed from the game. As an old player myself, I would love to get tanks like the Panther II and the Tiger II 10.5 cm. But unfortunately, I can’t, as they are no longer available! So, I’d like to propose a suggestion to bring them back in a way that isn’t impossible to implement.
The first suggestion, in the form of an event:
EGREGORE OF WAR
‘’ Egregore is → When many people focus on the same idea, belief, or purpose, that energy gains “strength” and can become reality. ‘’
On a specific date each year, you would have the chance to complete not 9, not 10, but 15 missions, each requiring 40,000 to 50,000 points within a 30-day period. These missions would follow War Thunder’s standard event format, where each mission must be completed within 2 days.
In the early stages, players would earn parts inside crates + boosters for each completed stage, or alternatively, rewards that represent the time and locations where these incredible war machines—ones that never left the drawing board were originally conceived.
With War Thunder’s new event system bombarding us with events every month, the developers would actually get a bit of a “break” by reusing existing event structures, only changing the vehicle and its rewards. (Not that they aren’t already doing this…)
Note about this event: It will be the only event in the game where its missions cannot be completed with GOLDEN EAGLE.
The second suggestion: A new type of Special Task available in the WARBOND shop
“Tasks from the Good Old Days.”
With each WARBOND rotation, players could acquire a mission/task that unlocks a small piece of a blueprint for a randomly removed vehicle. With a bit of luck, by the end of the year, they could gather all the necessary pieces and unlock the vehicle.
The idea is to make players choose between a highly desired vehicle and the time required to obtain it but with one major condition: these vehicles should never be tradeable. This would make them even more sought after by those with the greatest patience in this game.
Personally, I prefer the second option, where effort and patience are rewarded at the end of each year (if you’re lucky enough to get the right pieces). Not only that, but it would also satisfy the long wait for the chance to obtain war machines that never saw the battlefield, allowing players to finally experience just how powerful they could have been in combat.
This is my suggestion to be offered to the community. I do not support the idea of offering a battle pass with removed vehicles or bringing them back through GE. But rather, through the player’s effort and dedication to obtain them, whether through luck over an entire year or through their perseverance in grinding a 40,000-point event 15 times over the span of a month.
We are all tired of losing good vehicles that were perfectly designed for their intended purpose, and I hate seeing that many of my new friends who will join the game won’t be able to obtain them in any fair way.
Let us know what you think about these two suggestions by leaving your opinions in the comments below. Nothing comes for free, and what is offered must be rewarded in another way.
