[/poll]# Suggestion: Random Shell Deviation for WWII Tanks in Simulator Battles

Description

I would like to suggest introducing a random shell deviation mechanic inspired by War Thunder Mobile into the PC version of War Thunder.

When firing a tank gun, a shell would have a small chance of deviating from the exact aiming point. The deviation could occur to the left, right, up, or down.

Proposed Features

  • Game mode: Simulator Battles only.
  • Vehicles: Tanks from the World War II period only.
  • Random deviation: Shells would not always land exactly at the aiming point.
  • Distance: Deviation would become more noticeable at longer ranges.
  • Firing conditions: The deviation could be influenced by factors such as distance and whether the tank is moving or stationary.
  • Balance: The deviation should remain limited so that aiming skill remains important.

Reason for This Suggestion

I believe this mechanic could make tank combat in Simulator Battles more immersive and less predictable. It could add another layer of realism, especially during long-range engagements, without changing the experience for players in other game modes.

Since a similar mechanic exists in War Thunder Mobile, I believe it would be worth testing in the PC version of War Thunder.

Thank you for considering my suggestion!

Huuuh ? Isn’t that already the case ?

Why ? Dispertion affects all guns, even the best FCS in the world won’t make you hit the exact spot you aimed at.

How much more deviation is needed???
I know I’ve missed out on some kills because the shell landed was mere inches off target…

Guns already use the accuracy statistics of their real life counterparts. You can bug report a gun if it is too accurate in game

Bruh… it already does… adjustment of fire modification

Already implemented. This is explained in the very first tank tutorial mission in the Tips section.
