Toggleable Target Cycling (On/Off via Keybind)
We fly planes across different ranks and nations. Some have excellent radar sets where manual cursor control feels natural and responsive. Others, however—especially those with painfully slow scan rates—leave you with little choice but to rely on the “Target Cycling” function.
Currently, target cycling is always enabled by default. For radars without Pulse‑Doppler capability, flying into a chaff‑saturated environment makes you want to smash your keyboard. Even planes with PD aren’t necessarily safe—when an opponent goes into a notch maneuver and pops chaff, you still end up locking empty air. When the sky is full of false returns, you’re forced to cycle endlessly through ghost contacts. Overshoot the real target by just one press, and you either have to loop through the entire list again or try fiddling with the radar’s horizontal scan zone while the enemy is already merging on you. Sure, ACM mode can help in that moment, but that’s not always available.
Suggestion:
Add a keybind that lets players toggle the “Target Cycling” function ON or OFF in real time , giving us the flexibility to adapt to the situation.
Thanks for reading, and clear skies!
