we’ve all been there, you activate a booster and the game gives you a map you totally hate, or it gives you an 8v8 or something like that (seems to happen a lot, I’m sure just coincidence)
Anyway, we need the ability to activate a booster after the match has concluded. This is something WOT did iirc, for premium accounts and was very well received.
There’s nothing worse than popping a large booster and getting a horrible map or dead match, or even you suffer some lag in air and crash or naval where the servers frequently collapse and throw you back to the hanger.
We know Gaijin won’t fully endorse this, because it makes the grind easier and also allows players to select their best game to use the booster, so I’d argue in a way to balance it, you have two options.
1 - Activate the booster before the match like you do now, hope for the best.
2 - Activate the booster after the match, but take a penalty on it. Lets assume 50%. So you pop that 500% booster post match, but it only qualifies as a 250% booster. 30% becomes 15% etc.
You’d have to break up the boosters that run for several matches into individuals, but I doubt anyone would have a problem with this.
They’re already timed and theres no need to change that, but it gives some power back to the players. I’d also argue it could maybe encourage people to spend money (gaijin loves it) on boosters rather than just relying on random ones. Nobody wants to buy a 500% booster only to earn 1000rp after a bad match or disconnection.
