Suggestion about the German Luchs A2

As of now, it is the only vehicle in the entire game that is on the SPAA line but categorised as a light tank.
Given that it is quite underperforming at 7.3 right now, changing its category to SPAA sounds like a good idea to me, such that less SP would be needed.

Classifying it as anti-air vehicle would likely recieve the same treatment as ZSL92, despite the Chinese community providing sources that it can load APDS belts, Gaijin didn’t added, still. Which means classifying the Luchs A2 as anti-air vehicle means the APDS belts being removed, likely.

I think a reduction, if not a expressive battle rating increase should do the work, creating a distance between this vehicle and more armored vehicles instead should be a better idea than nerfing it, because I know how frustrating is the Rh202 without the APDS belts.

raise it to a br where vehicles have little armor done like XM800T they have similiar pen and should only be moved up to slightly lower than XM800T as no stab and stuff

The wiesel 1A4 right above it has apds despite being an SPAA though

Wiesel 1A4 is in the same battle rating as the Luchs A2, in regards placements, Luchs A2 actually is sitting after the Wiesel 1A4. Comparing those two vehicles is comparing a rat to a lion, not that Luchs A2 is dangerous as a lion but I’m talking about the size, in one hand you have a 1977 Leyland Mini 1000 Mk. IV and in the other a Chevrolet Tahoe.

I’ll assume that the Wiesel 1A4 being classified as anti-air vehicle and still have APDS belts is more like a balance decision, maybe as light tank it would be way too much expensive in Spawn Point costs to counterweight its balance, and maybe yes, the Luchs A2 can be classified as anti-air vehicle and still have access to APDS belts but I highly doubt it, maybe increasing it to battle rating 8.0 should be a better option.

It may also be the Luchs never carried the APDS. The USH 204GK was a Light tank designed for Germany but the deal never went through, there were plans for the Germans to give the Unimog chassis their specific 20mm. Regardless info on the 204 is nearly impossible to find and yet it has access to 20mm AP rounds like the R3 T20. Though i figure it was given those rounds so it could be placed at 5.x as sweden had no 5.x spaa and lacks a suitable 4.x lineup to need a new spaa.

The luchs imo should get the APDS for balance if the gun can use it.

The chassis never arrived in Germany and the German turret was never mounted of course.
