Unfinished naval mechanics are definitely sonar/hydrophone and “each nation with naval getting something” is definitely submarines confirmed. We will be eating so much spaghetti this christmas and playing submarines omg cant wait.

It seems we’ll have to wait a bit longer for our boats. seems they’re “struggling” to give them a proper place in matches.

We’re continuing to work on submarines, but implementing such a complicated and controversial type of vehicle takes a lot of time. The biggest challenge is figuring out how to properly integrate submarines —which were never designed for large-scale fleet battles — into the very same fleet battles that basically make up the standard naval experience in War Thunder. And to do it in such a way that we somehow don’t break the game for everybody else. We’re very grateful to the community and to all submarine enthusiasts for their patience, and we’ll do our best to make sure that the final result meets your expectations.

One thing that keeps me a bit hopeful is that at some point he mentions a naval mechanic that is in development and “probably already in game by the time you watch this video” (around 3:50)
So that probably means that video was shot quite a little while ago, maybe before the current update

Honestly though, how do they expect to actually give them a proper place when they dont do any events or anything to test them more. theres only so much you can do with them just sitting in internal theory crafting and testing…
Naval doesn’t suffer from torpedoes though
If you know a thing or 2 about WWII and early cold war submarines, their torps, and the respective speed of both, you’d know it probably won’t be busted
You are both assuming WAY too much good will out of a dev like Gaijin. They will absolutely turn them into the most OP things to sail the seven things if given the chance.

It’s too much for me, I quit more than 10 years I waiting for sub, i’m comming back when they add sub. It’s a joke, “it’s take time” lol they have sub on phone since 2 years and the first event in 2018 with a total of 3 event … we are just asshole, submarine was like the first event a fck april fool’s.

I don’t think we get submarines this year.
I was really hoping for them. I mean I have been for a long time but this year I actually thought they were coming. We saw the first blog of the season today which was something that was on the leak list which makes the leak list more valid. And on that list we didn’t have submarines…
