I think the big issue is game play. All thing considered the BR would be insane
still does (humvee can be killed by a helicopter falling onto it)

12 torpedoes for Marconi, it seems most of Italian submarine classes had similar amount of torpedoes (16 at max for 533 mm).
With exception of Cagni class, although it had 450 mm torpedoes, 36)
There is a list of Italian WW2 submarines with characters and photos in this book (from p.107):
Plus there are some Romanian submarines which could come to Italy: NMS Delfinul; NMS Rechinul and NMS Marsuinul.
