I still don’t understand why torpedos and mines are entities, you can’t even destroy them by shooting at them, for some reason. Even with big guns you can’t destroy a torpedo that is 1 meter bellow water.

I frequenly destroyed deployed mines with gunfire in coastals. Their hitboxes or hitpoints are rather jank, but you can do it

I tried that numerous of times, I literally followed them on coastal (when torpedo was slow and I was fast enough), and had no luck destroying them.
How? Where do you aim? Do deep charges work as well?
Lol, can you use G-5 torpedo boat’s deep charges to defuse torpedoes that are heading towards your ally bluewater ships?))
To be fair, it’s been a while since I’ve seen a mine. But you could shoot the part poking out of the water manually.
When it comes to subsurface torps/mines, I think only bombs could do the trick. But it was very unreliable

A while back I tried to see if mines could be destroyed with depth charges. They can’t. I’m not sure if there is actually any current way to neutralize mines

The TypeXB also had torps, so the M3 is not unique in that regard.
