To be fair, as questionable as this choice is looking back now, it was really just a pun.
The designers name was Richard Mohr, which sounds like the word Moor (pretty much used interchangeably with Neger), so it was was meant as a reference to him rather than an intentionally offensive or degrading name.
Of course you wouldn’t use either of these words now, but in the context of the Neger submarine I don’t think it’s necessarily problematic.
Not sure if the average WT player could be mature about it though

Hope not but to be honest it might just be an event, we will have mass scale whining if so.
But tbh all the subs stuff was datamined like year or two ago, sub spawns voicelines etc, so big chance this is the big release

Teasing a highly anticipated class of vehicles with hondreds of unique options to add, only for it to be a handful of examples that can’t even properly be researched/owned.

They did do that for drones already, but I’d always hoped they’d eventually come in whatever way they do COIN aircraft, not reinforce this limit as something they’d just do to any vehicle class…
I’d take just another event over this.

But it is one solution how to avoid submarines in BB matches where destroyers cant hunt submarines or they will be evaporated by one salvo from battleship.

Like helicopters, with PVE mode who no one plays and you could research them with the tanks.
Besides that you can’t sell “drones”
If that really is such an issue, which I don’t even think it would be, they can always just limit them in other ways like spawn placement or even BR limits.
No need to sacrifice all these interesting vehicles in the process.

Not if they don’t try, but there is cool options here. Drones really are just like any other aircraft, the only thing stopping them from being added for now is the same balance concerns as COIN aircraft.
With more and more modern aircraft, I think we might just see certain drones added.

I meant that you can’t sell those things that only available as “drone” strike.

Yeah, but honestly I just see them the same way as those free tanks/spaa you get added to your lineup. They can still add the vehicles separately if they figure out a good way to make them work balance wise, and it wouldn’t take away from the kill streak option that gives you a free air spawn with one.
Kill streak spawns in Arcade should be upgraded with players own planes.
