The 3.7 cm flak & the two 2 cm flak line up for armament as well, the model is a one to one & tbh we’ve seen a few times in past videos & shorts on youpube.
Gawd dayum the first two pictures bring back good memories. It looks so frikking cool! My fav was emergency surfacing and breaking through the water surface. If only they would have at least kept this mode as permanent and added one or two new subs over time…i dont know why cool stuff that they must have put weeks of work into gets constantly immediately removed after a week. And we play the same old 3 cap gamemode for 13 years now (still good but, yk, variety???)

I’m pretty sure at this point that the leakers claim of “Submarines almost complete” meant that, in 2026, submarines would be “almost complete”… that is, not complete this year.
That said, steady progress continues behind the scenes as evidenced by the datamines. And EC becoming a permanent mode is probably the biggest gameplay change that can benefit submarines.

In the data mines were french voice lines or french subs datamined? Also 110% imo subs are dropping either this update or the 1st update or 2027 because both a usually big updates
most likely the premium ones are going to come first, then the full tree
Having submarines with the 5th gens in a stealth themed update in December 2026 would imo make sense

They are there since 2022 when ships got voicelines. All nations got submarine voicelines.

dev comment to “no 5th gen in september update, they’re not coming in 2026 ?” was basically “year ain’t over yet”
this does not guarantee anything obviously, but shows that the devs had plans for them to come this year

Holiday update tends to be big. There is also that whole infantry thing so they may have to pick what the Holiday update will be about.

I doubt infantry unless they get on there A game because they still need to test console people tbh i think subs in December since still no naval update April fools event tests 5th gen stuff and prob fully drop in December next year and infantry sometime next year
Yes they kind of did test stealth in game so they could just dump it in without some sort of meme April Fools event around it (if anything they still should 1990s cold war Ace Combat rip off :-0 )
Infantry mode has its own team plus stuff they built out for enlisted and active matter my guess its almost done. (they did say it should not interfere with the rest of the games development and all things considered released if the update with the icon had anything to say about it) Most likely they will finish up sooner then we may think Gaijin might be trying to have a double update cycle where you go vehicles - Infantry - vehicles - Infantry.
They can drop subs when they want they have models from mobile and test data.
My guess is subs as North Atlantic was cold and the hunting ground of the U-Boat plus the addition of dedicated sub hunter boats over the last year. (holidays is considered cold they can drop a new artic map for the whole thing)

I too think infantry will be an another test, not release, as there are many things to do, or else it will be doomed…
And releasing 5th gen too soon is bad, why using all cards at once if you are already feeding air mains with something they like for now (escalation)?
Idk, we do not hear about subs a lot, but in game files there were new subs-related ones, so, I bet on subs + infantry test + escalation improvements.
Then infantry and 5th gen full release next autumn with some 5th gen released next april as event jets or a test at least.
My Bet top of next update will be subs with infantry (USA / USSR) getting there trees (more back ground) Though I am fine with being wrong.
