Wish ramming was a tactic in naval generally.
That is because involves content involving purposeful unno what. The game is 12+ and they always attempt to keep the game within those restrictions internationally. You most likely breached the forums rules by making that thread.
We did in the Event, so yes obviously. Ship/vehicle physics will still apply like all other vehicles ingame.
I also see it as causing gameplay issues as well. The game try’s to discourage dumb tactics like the much beloved P-47 rage attack. Subtract the age rating thing few would enjoy a Baka bomb flying into there tank in mix battles just as how few people enjoy a p-47 rage attack. At least the game encourages you not to crash or get shot down. Stuff like the Baka bomb encourages dumb tactics that deplete a team’s potential. Though I would like to see post crash effects like fuel fires for effect.
That could work without any issues like age ratings as ramming though could cause damage to you is within the game play set up. Submarines should avoid being rammed as they don’t have the plates to handle it. It would be useful as a last resort for ships not capable of depth carging a sub. Also some old ships where built for such attacks so it would be nice to see.
Flying your plane into enemy vehicles used to do damage back in the day
There where armed fishing boats and icebreakers that where armed to the teeth for sub hunting but also general defence. There was a USA coastguard ship in WW2 that looked like a battleship got put in the wash with all her guns. Whale ships got modified the most high engine power and endurance made them ideal for for sub hunting also there crew where skilled in sailing. I would also like to see more Q ships and merchant cruisers though they are big they could act like low tier battleships teaching new players how to use and hunt big ships. Most of these ships had anti sub weapons and enough cannons to handle the issues at hand.
Likely a mix of gameplay issues and an age rating threat. Discouraging bad gameplay tactics. But for ships I think it should be different. Colliding with any ship tends to be bad for your ship and there’s.
The one I want:
HMT Olympic, also known as ‘Old Reliable’, had six 6-inch (152mm) guns that were installed in pairs on the forecastle, well deck, and poop deck by 1917. She also sank a German Uboat in WW1
Battlestations Pacific is rated 12+ and has kamikaze, and kamikaze vehicles like the Shinyo (kamikaze MTB), the Ohka and the Kaiten manned torpedoes
That’s exactly what I also was thinking about. What a banger game btw
I still occasionally play it on my Xbox, works a bit better than pc nowadays
I still pla it with a friend on PC it’s just a hassle to get it running.
This game came out 16 years ago. As we say in my country, “other time, other customs”. Sensibilities have evolved somewhat, and Gaijin don’t want any possible bad buzz or scandal. For obvious reasons, and given how touchy national pride is, especially in this game, it’s the kind of controversy they definitely don’t want to face. Even if I doubt that many people will be shocked, you only need a few.
Ive got it on pc (both steam and dvd) as well, xbox is just a bit easier to get running XD
I think the big issue is game play. All thing considered the BR would be insane
still does (humvee can be killed by a helicopter falling onto it)
Next update is ~month away. Still full of doubts…
12 torpedoes for Marconi, it seems most of Italian submarine classes had similar amount of torpedoes (16 at max for 533 mm).
With exception of Cagni class, although it had 450 mm torpedoes, 36)
There is a list of Italian WW2 submarines with characters and photos in this book (from p.107):
Plus there are some Romanian submarines which could come to Italy: NMS Delfinul; NMS Rechinul and NMS Marsuinul.
There are also a few ex-US submarines used postwar, with more torpedoes:

Apologies for jumping in, I don’t want to derail the discussion, but could I kindly ask for your feedback on a thread I’ve put together about Naval RB queue times? I’d really appreciate hearing your thoughts and perspectives, as community input is invaluable in highlighting the key issues and shaping constructive solutions. Thank you in advance for taking the time to have a look.
