Su30sm, su30mkm The N011M radar has very limited vertical scan

Why does the V004 radar have a larger vertical scan capability (60×20), almost as if it were an AESA radar, when in reality it is PESA?
Meanwhile, the N011M radar, which is supposedly more powerful on paper, only has 80×7, which is almost nothing for that BR.

There’s your answer.
Also the MKM has a russian RWR which no source confirms while SAAB gave the MKM most of their electronics.
I guess Gaijin wanted to make sure we couldn’t call them lazy by introducing these small changes.

Wym no source, it doesn’t use the Saab rwr. If you look at the production page for su-30MKM it doesn’t mention changing rwr, only MAWS and laser warning system is made by SAAB.

It still uses L-150

you can even see L-150 knobs on the leading edge

Doesn’t rule out that SAAB gave them RWR. It just doesn’t mention it. I only found one source and it was a twitter picture.

It literally has the l-150 knobs though

Specific RWR can’t be identified by outside appearance.

yes it can

Also the literal brochure for su-30mk in the mkm configuration says l-150

Yes but Malaysia chose their own sources for electronics, like LWS from SAAB

doesnt mean they bought the full kit tho

Yeah but the product page doesn’t mention changing rwr, it still has L-150 knobs on the actual plane itself, and the brochure with the su-30MKM prototype has l-150…

It makes no sense for the su-30mkm to have a different rwr

Multiple sources that aren’t official state that MKM has the RWR from SAAB. Sources on the russian RWR are just guesses from visual appearance and inferences from the MK brochure. To be honest, there are no offical sources on the RWR which is why no one knows if RWR is SAAB or Russian.

Show us then dude.

The product brochure for the su-30mkm and the prototype su-30mkm plane itself has l-150

Politics and money

2 serial production MKMs, both have L-150 antennas on the slats and on the tail

I will say it again, nothing is confirmed. Because Malaysia did not release info, people think that SAAB also gave the RWR they made at that time along with the LWS.

What website is that though?

It was in the bug report

Not official
