It has already been discussed in many places that the Su-57’s radar was outdated at the time of its creation.
The Su-57 has so many shortcomings and problems that it would be advantageous for Russia to build a fifth-generation aircraft from scratch, and toss the Su-57 in the closet and forget this disgrace.

Explain how the N036 is outdated.
The Su-57 has done good so far, 1 purchase from the MoD, one from Algeria and possible Myanmar since they are interested. The Su-57D already has been ordered by the MoD and India have already said that they are interested in a dual seater Su-57. Would be interesting what makes this aircraft so bad.
completely tossing aside discussion regarding its perfomance, this is just nonsense, su57 has been a mess, glacial production, still stuck with the stopgap engines, miniscule commericial interest, i think so far the only country which has purchased su57 is algeria they bought like 15. how can say it has “done good so far” with straight face? last year the us allegedly delivered 190 f35s. like f35 has been a massive commercial success sure but come on, china has also very similar numbers and they all go to domestic usage.

i mean if we are talking economics, thast to be expected. comparing a world trade and a nearly billions $ defense budget to russia economics will just give you the idea of how much the difference is big.

no ? aside from production of around 30 plane per year, i dont think it can do better. also with the war going.
what? they can definetly do a whole lot better that isnt really a discussion, and the war economy being the way it is can only help in the short term for production, some components might be harder to procure.

A sanctioned country with a nominal GDP similar to Brazil and Italy, and also lower than France’s, managed to do what the latter couldn’t do: an indigenous 5th gen aircraft already sold abroad. This isn’t a success, true. It’s a mega success.
