Su-57's radar suite is actually better, F-22 is ageing badly. [Not Ragebait]

You’re wrong buddy

then prove it

TLDR:
By having small bumps in strategic places to compresses and slow the air passing over it into an oblique shock wave and having designed the inlet mouth in a way so that it creates a shockwave in the normal direction to the incoming airflow but only at supersonic speeds. This breaks up the airflow into subsonic speeds once it enters the inlet.

Don’t know if that is how the SU-57 does it, but it can be done.

that’s… that’s the whole point…
i suggest you document yourself

NAVWEPS 00-80T-80, also called Aerodynamics for naval aviators is a good start to read, academic papers, patents and such are also very good learning supports for aerodynamics and intake behavior

The Su-57 has an intake ramp, followed by the radar blocker in the intake, then the blades, it is also to be noted that the Su-57’s intakes are not as straight as people make them out to be, they partially hide the fan blades natively

the Su-57 dosent have any of that

Spoiler

its as smooth as a surface could ever be

Yeah, as i said i didn’t know if the SU-57 did it that way (it obviously doesn’t now that i’ve seen more), i just wanted to inform that it is indeed possible :)

If i remember correctly its called DSI (diverterless supersonic inlet).

i know its possible

planes like the F-16, F-18, Rafale, JF-17, J-10 and Gripen, to name a few of the top off my head, have static intakes like that

not sure if the EF falls in that category as well bc it technically has variable intakes

Bro is comparing a 1997 jet vs still dev jet xD

standard su-57 and su-57e are already in service and serialized, what’s undergoing testing is the new su-57m

still 1997. and gaijin will put both in game

Huh no ? Current su57 will have everything that the su57e will get.

There is not a big difference. Unless maybe the engines

he’s talking about f-22

Ohh

we had 2018 rafale before they added a 2000s F15 in game. 🥀

the rafale ingame is even newer

F3R had first flight in 2018
service introduction was 2019 or 2020
and thats without an HMD

F-15C was from the 2000s becasue it has the JHMCS

that were integrated between 2001 and 2010

id argue that it doesnt have JHMCS, because it is missing features and symbology from JHMCS

the Helmet is the JHMCS and not what it is diplaying

its like me saying that the russian jets dont have HMS because its not working like it is supposed to

no?

because there have been other HMDs fitted to F15Cs and even more that could have been

Speaking about stealth , Su-57 saw it’s first flight with Izd.177 engines ( 16000 kgf / engine ). The sawtooth serrated nozzle will improve stealth on both IR and radar ends of the EM spectrum . Also per UAC statement Izd.177 will be retrofitted to all platforms compatible with that diameter ( Su-30SM/SM2 , Su-35 and ofc Su-75 ) .
