Also gl finding numbers for f-22 “average rcs” that isn’t 0.3 m^2
you guys are comparing a 30 year old jet with a jet still in active development. This is such a stupid comparison.
Obviously the jet that’s constantly improving will have better features. The F22’s no longer even in production. How Gaijin will balance the F22 to compete on the same level as the su-57 is going to be wild. I guarantee they will make the su-57 more op by using current documents out now and nerf the F22 with old documents. The whole “russian bias” lifecycle will repeat once again.
they will probably add the variant that’s in service instead of the prototype ? do u think they will add yf-22 instead of f22 ? then why do u want them to add T-50 instead of su57 ?
I love that WT have so many experts on graded military hardware on it’s forum
SU-57 might have better radar, avionic etc, which is what i would expect from a very modern plane but f22 might just be more stealthy overall
Significantly more stealthy than the SU-57
Okay, look at the “finished” product. No I’m not talking about the screws. That has been fixed already. I’m talking about the dimensions of the aircraft, the exhaust, the IRIST, Canopy, IRCM, weapons bay panels. All this leads to a significantly greater RCS. The intakes as well, is equally as bad. Some say theres a “stealth” mode for the intake which is simply not true.
there are intake doors
a thing variable intakes have and need so that the engine dosent destroy itself

and that isnt even something new
see
F14
F15
Mig29
Su27
to name some examples with variable intakes
Any real pictures or are you going to provide more renders?
Also, those ramps are only for FOD. To prevent the ingestion of foreign objects during takeoff. It’s not meant to operate in flight.
you can see the intake door in the top of the 8ntake here:

this is simple intake design
the reson why you dont see them closed is because they are used tonslow down the supersonic air before it hits the engine
and in order to have supersonic air you need to fly above mach1
so you want more source for my claims while making bogus claims without sources yourself
you cant have a straight airintake like that because the engines would get destroyed at supersonic speeds
Do you seriously think the FOD ramps come down to help it in supersonic flight? Do you have any idea how restrictive that would be for airflow?
that is the whole point because the air would be too compreseed otherwise and would destroy the turbine blades
No. The shape of the intake already slows down the air before it reaches the compressor. The FOD screen isn’t deployed to help it achieve supersonic speed. The engines compressor blades are already designed for this in mind.
Yes yes, taken straight from the flankers
so please explain how a straight sqaure airintake will slow down any air
they arent, because the al41 that is currently used in the su57 is the exact same engine as in the su35 that also has a variable intake
the anti fod devices on the flanker act also as part of the variable intake on the flanker
just test drive one of them and observe how they behave in flight
I’m not going to educate you. You got questions? Search it up online. Just know what you’re spouting out is incorrect
I was being sarcastic, the variable intake ramp here wouldn’t even protect the engine

maybe you should look up how air intakes work
instead of pretending you know it all
has it ever occured to you that it is possible to engineer something that can do 2 things at once?
because the anti fod devices on the mig29 also pull double duty and arent static in flight
