Well then it’s simple: the next tech tree variant will be the Su-25TM. Cuz why the hell not, it will be identical to the 39 as well.
Actually the German ones might lose their R-27Es. Apparently they can’t fire them.
if it happens it happens, but looking at gajin they propably gonna keep them. they can fire them they just didnt receive them as far as i am aware, the r27er was shown in the cockpit as firing option apparently as well. who knows we will see, but they propably gotta do it or else it wont be 12.3 worthy , heck the standard mig 29 without r 27e could be lowered to 11.7 br
At least the 9-12 should have R-73s then but that makes the G redundant again
jup thats the thing, at this point gajin manoveured itself into a hole where they need to keep the r27E funnily enough, the concers about the r27e were already brought up right at the start when the german mig 29 released, if they remove the R27e missles the mig 29 loses a LOT of its strengths and arguably both need to be lowered by 0,3 br at this point.
Not that the br change would change the matchmaking currently since everything gets sucked into 12.3
I disagree.
The MiG-29 was never envisioned as a BVR monster, opting for shorter range missions from rough airfields just behind front lines. It was already understood by it’s pilots that it was hopeless at longer ranges, opting to close to distance and defeat NATO planes in BFM… something which it did quite well.
I am in favour of removing R-27ER from MiG-29s now that we have German and Russian 29s with R-73s.
The solution to this problem is to introduce the SU-27.
but that its role in the game, just like the SU 39s role in the game is a pure cas aircraft just remember first and foremost this is a game not real life
Sure but if you remove them from both mig 29s it ends up with 1 being 11.7 and one being 12.0, since the ER missles were a huge part of its strength with them being the strongest missles in the game
and thats ok, russia will gets its stuff soon enough, but obviously that cant be done this patch anymore

If they undid the recent FM nerf, they still would be fine at top tier with R-27Rs and R-73s. Not as well performing as the buffed F-16s of course but still competitive.
I would support the addition of R-73s to the SU-39 as a defensive weapon like the SU-25BM for the sake of consistency but adding R-27ERs and R-77s would be ridiculous.
they already got them, they didnt even leave the su-25bm exclusive acces for 1 patch
i am happy i sold it immediatly the su 25bm is pretty much worthless now
Why would it be or should be exclusive?
it was the introduction of the R73, the whole feature of this vehicle was the R73 besides that , this event one is worthless lol, the mayor patch was quite quickly after the event so it was able to have a purpose for like 2 months and lost all its worth now
They could fire them since the pylon was the same (Allegedly they even had the software to correctly list it as an E variant)
The problem was that the Berlin wall fell, and Germany was reunified in 1990. The ER wasn’t initially introduced until 1990 so it is almost certain that East Germany never actually received it
I think the SU-39 is pretty decent now thanks so the R-73! I’ve managed to do a 1v4s thanks to the decent turn rate and good missiles. Asking for the R-27 or R-77 will 100% incentivize a increase of Battle Rating and for now it’s unnecessary.
If you’re talking about any R-27 variants, no the SU-25SM3 can’t fire them. The vehicle (from what I understand) lacks any type of aerial radar therefor it’s incapable of guiding the missile.
The only SU-25 variant which can operate radar missiles is the SU-39 (not the SU-25TM).
I’m not sure about the R-27T variants, it may or may not but I highly doubt it could use them either
The SU-25TM is not identical to the SU-39 when it comes to air to air missiles. The R-27 and R-77 was only offered to the SU-39 as a export option, the SU-25TM in theory could use them as they’re technically the same but were never fitted with them.
Yeah, I still believe they will try to resell the Su-39 with the R-27s and R-77.
Probably lol.
Prepare for the Su-39 (late) premium in the future
Doubt it
If they added an Su-39 with late missiles and some seriously strong BR appropriate A2G weapons, it would sell.
