While i agree with you it may put it in a somewhat awkward position, BUT
In order for their addition a BR expansion is needed, which we asked gaijin Multiple times to do, so vehicles Like Su39 could receive their full potential in arm and armament, Including other vehicles in Certain nation.
A BR expansion will solve it, the more detailed the BR ( e.g 11.1 or 11.2 or 11.3 ) the more accurate BR placement and enemy it will face.
It Does not struggle at all in CAS, its absoloutely amazing, As a user of it, it completely annihilate a whole team, but the problem is when it comes to its own self aerial defense.
Your not gaijin, your not development team, Gaijin is not that kind of a team that takes a final answer, and NOT In war thunder, Where a fake paper vehicle like the oerlikon got a APHE where no on can access the vehicle anymore.
or when they buff the Transmission on the E100 A none finished prototype, and they Still buffed it after time when they stated they wont Modify it anymore.
Su39 IS a Premium vehicle, ACCESSIBLE, They did not state before it Got a “final armament” , neither to all vehicles in game, they will still add, modify, and fix all possible and probable necessities in them.
We as a community, We care about balance, but balance without historical accuracy and Realism is not needed anymore, where a vehicle dont get its full potential, or other part of the game is not modelled correctly that will be a gaijin error, issue, we as a community we seek for such fixes.
Firstly, only the R-27R was discussed here, without increasing the number of R-73s.
Secondly, no, it can’t be a 4+4, at best a 4+2.
Thirdly, I think it makes the most sense to limit it to two R-27Rs to start.
Two R-27Rs instead of two R-73s. This literally doesn’t change its BR (see hawk200).
R-27Rs are significantly more powerful than Skyflash DFs. There is no comparison here.
Even with a loadout of 2x R-60M + 2x R-27R, I would still see an 11.7 BR.
2x R-73 + 2x R-27R definetly seals the deal there. With compression though… Im semi inclined to compare that Su-39 with that 2+2 fit to something like the Viggen D or Mirage F1 at 12.0, and whilst it gets messy due to being subsonic. I could see a 12.0 BR there as well.
I would still be concerned that R-27R, with what actually is a half decent radar, could be really OP in a downtier though. R-27Rs are very potent SARHs
