i mean more. Right now 120A\B is still a solid missile (although giving them a bit more notch resistance would be welcome). In terms of better missiles… i’m not sure it would be good for the game health at this point

What makes an aircraft with better radar than a Eurofighter and more Fox-3 missiles than a Eurofighter a 14.0? Oh, also from my understanding it also has similar defensive suite as Eurofighter with full bubble cover?

Su-30 has even bigger discrepancy in flight performance, worse radar than Golden Eagle, worse RWR and fewer chaff/flares. It has 12 great missiles so no one complains. So compared to 30 you get better radar, better defence, much better flight performance at the cost of 4 missiles? 120A are still very potent even if they loose to R-77-1 or MICA
not significantly so in game all ESA radars have the same general advantages
I dont think you understand how bad AIM120 is for close range shots when on an aircraft without good nose authority

And why are you doing close range shots exactly? Not like you need to get closer than 15km to get a reliable launch (at least from my experience with Euromid and I used this glorious triangle like a complete monkey and still managed to score kills with AMRAAM)
And yet it is still an advantage, especially in scan area. One of the reason Rafale is so good is the fact that radar has huge scan angles. Which becomes more and more important the closer you get to the target.
Also last time I checked all F-15Cs got a flight performance buff so discrepancy with Euromid is not that big anymore especially if you don’t count 1v1 dogfights that are pretty irrelevant in ARB anyways.

Well, if someday I’ll be mad enough to go trough entire US tree being a f2p player I might speak from experience in terms of F-15s. But I haven’t had problems keeping people at the distance in any airframe that I have unless my team severely messed up and enemy is just snowballing. I don’t think something like F-16ADF has better capabilities than F-15C in terms of keeping distance, don’t you think?

at 15 kilometers the amraam still performs much worse than other missiles if you’re employing it from a notch(which is how you’re supposed to do it) it takes significantly more time to get on target than any other fox 3, hell this is such a bad example i would myself take a base model r77 than an amraam in this exact scenario
r-77 first test fires were in the 80s brah, and was put into limited service since 90s

and all else excluded the reason this argument was brought up was not to nitpick dates, it was to point out the capability discrepancy between the r-77-1 and the aim120c-5(contemporary to the original r-77), this wouldnt be an issue if aim120-c5 perfomed as it shoul but it doesnt. make no mistake the only reason r-77-1 isnt the strongest missile in the game is because mica has the arbitrary seeker.

yeah thats a hugely stupid the ef2k competes with the f15e in speed and acceleration, it does that whilst being one of the most maneuvearable airframes ingame. f15c is neither particularly maneuvearable nor does it out speed or accelerate ef2k, not even close.
