Su-35 in War Thunder

wow thats such a good fact to know , i always had the idea that r27er could be so much better

I’d grind that shi in no time if it meant having an AESA

C5 would probably still be the big drawback, but a good radar can already make the difference.

Hold up. US, Chinese and Swedish players are still using jets and missiles from more than a decade ago.

And Russian players are still using missiles from more than 5 decades ago

Russian bias moment when NATOids demand a missile from 2003 to counter Soviet 1984 meme stick.

Are R77s from 50 years ago? XD

1984, so 40 not 50

developed 1982-1989, taken into service in 1994. Not 50 years ago but close.

i was talking about the r73

technically still not 50, but yeah, the most modern missile in Russian TT - R-77-1 was put into service in 2013, everything else is from the 90s at best.

Russian jets do use R73. However, su30 also uses R771 which is introduced after 2010. If 9X, R74 and IRISTs are added to jet battles… cant imagine.

But i dont see any jets from other tech trees using missiles introduced later than 2010, like AIM120C5 entered service in 2000, PL-12 in 2005, and MICA in 1996.

Also, Idt Gaijin chooses PLANNED modern jets and missiles and puts them in the game, so maybe it’s better to determine how modern they are by the time they entered service.

Since US is getting the golden eagle, I have no doubts that the su-35 will also be coming soon.

tbf the fall of ussr did delay everything by quite a lot.

im suprised we haven’t had a mig 29m, k, or 35 yet in the meantime

iam not bc gaijin just seems to hate the mig29

Welp, the Su-35S is a direct upgrade from the Su-30SM which is already 14.3, and the F-15C GE is 14.3 too… So I’d say the GE is balancing the Su-30SM, therefore I don’t see why it would get the 35S as a counterpart

GE is giving US a 14.3 aircraft, not “balancing” anything. Moreover it is not Su-30 that requires “balancing” it is Rafale.

I know, I didn’t mean balancing but giving a counterpart. And the GE is kinda comparable to the Su-30SM. Of course eurocanards are in another league, but they shouldn’t be 14.3

yeah, in current configuration they are equal i’d say. If GE will get additional missiles however it would be a superior aircraft in my opinion.
