A Grom 1 can be essentially fired from 1 side of the map to the other. Whilst its on route, the Su-34 can land and rearm. Repeating this process multiple times before the first even hits if they pick the right map. Without ever having to get close to the enemy team or the target. (for the record, large payload glide bombs are of somewhat concern for me as well, but at least they need you to get at least closer or higher)
in Sim and Sim alone. The Lancaster can take-off, spend 10? 20? minutes flying to the other side of the map, just hoping no fighters come and claim the free kill before dropping bombs onto 2-3 bases or the AF before spending the same amount of time traveling back to base. (in ARB the success rate of getting even 1 base kill is pretty low. Split BRs need to be applied to all BRs and the lancaster dropped to more like 4.3)
Your absolutely right, because even before the Su-34 can take off Aim-120s and the like will be flying towards it on the Runway… the Lancaster however, would be free from that, the flak would keep fighters at bay easily.
Wow… 13.0. For the Su-34 which outperforms most 13.3s and will probably quite happily take on most 13.7s. If the Su-34 is 13.0 material then the Tornado F3 Late and F4F ICE should be 12.3
