i think they can actually add aim120d’'s to america (or atleast american jets in every tt) ? cus irrc only america uses AIM120D atm.
Well maybe its just me but id prefer a somewhat balanced game and US top tier air really got shafted this year

Problem is anyone who wasn’t a diehard US fan knew they would be shafted when it comes to late 4th gen even years ago because the US never actually built a proper Gen 4.5 and just skipped to 5th gen, and those who didn’t know either were too ignorant to look up other country’s planes and learn something cool, or had an arrogant belief of USA superior, so there isn’t really any sympathy to be had.

I think the problem is not the SM2 but all the planes now with the ability to hold datalink on missiles after launching while being in the notch the crazy off boresight shots will be a non issue because the missiles will bleed most of their energy in the turn it’s just the ability to hold datalink on targets while notching their missile. Going to be a lot tougher for planes that lack this ability. They should not be nerfed other nations and or planes will just need something to offset this missing ability. Don’t need to just swap what plane stomps every patch like the Rafale has been. Just my 2 cents

AIM-120D was exported in the name under AIM-120C-8.
Sure everyone knew that the US doesnt really have a gen 4.5 that could go toe to toe with something like the Eurocanards but they absolutely have fast missile slingers with good radars. Problem is just that the missiles are mid and they didnt get enough. Pretty sure no one predicted that the 120 C5 would be a nothingburger

I think the only good 4th generation fighter for the US is the F-15EX.
It’s great that people are realizing America isn’t the best in every category, and this is from someone who was born and raised as an American, with no affiliation to France. Cope.
Is that really the problem though? How would it change the fact that it’s inferior to something like the Eurofighter which still has the same missiles if those same missiles became great?
Might end up being a plane heavier than the F-15E, and added during the IIR meta where AIM-9X would suffer compared to other IIR missiles.
It wouldnt which is what i presume was gaijins reason to release the C5 in the state it is. But honestly getting the F15EX this update or giving the GE the multi racks earlier would have been fair

I know that’s why I said all the planes with AESA/PESA and an ability to move it via gimbal have a large advantage. I do not think they should be nerfed because that’s how they work in real life I just think something should be added to other planes/nations to give them an edge in another area where possible. I hate the rotating meta of certain planes or nations swapping who is stomping because they have something more dominant. Nothing should be gravely ahistorically nerfed, but it is a video game after all things need to be somewhat balanced as best as possible. (Edit spelling)

This community is funny…buff my toy, give me this, give me that. Okay got it. At same time delete this from other players, they got one more toy than I did, sky is falling. This is so OP and ruining the game (it is not even in game yet…).

Try using it in game and you’ll see why AIM-120 is considered bad. Anyone paying attention has ample time to defend from range, and the missile can’t pull enough to be impossible to defeat at close range. R-77-1 easily wins every battle even from slower Su-30SM with faster TTI, superior pull and actual HOBS performance.
It ranks second in close-to-medium range, meaning it is not perfect. Most of you focus only on a single point instead of providing a comprehensive evaluation
