If you think the strength of the Rafale comes from mica, then I believe the Mirage 2000, which also has mica, is still one of the strongest planes in the game.

FM of su30sm2 is still pretty bad its much worse than the su27sm. you can check it in statshark , only advantage of su30sm2 is in bvr. u can negate the effectiveness of fox3s by literally flying at 30m. rafale will still be the best unless they buff fox3s or fix amraams to some extent.

If you notch in the same direction as a Rafale, you will beat it 10/10 times in the SM2. You have more missiles which have much better range and speed than a MICA while you can guide it while notching.

i didn’t grind rafale when it was added. i fully agree nerfing this.
Skill issue, shoulda grinded the Rafale earlier
With version updates, power imbalances are inevitable. Countless other games have proven that having a stronger counter character is easier than trying to balance the game.
There’s still an advantage in maneuverability and it has Mica, although the Seeker buff is historic I think, it’s not balanced at all.

The MICA is not unotchable. The margin of errors are just smaller.

The reason you might feel the R-77-1 is inferior to the R-27ER is that the launch platform cannot enable the R-77-1 to perform at its full potential. The R-77-1 is the best missile in the game; it has a longer range than the R-27ER and a higher G-load tolerance. The Su-30SM2 equipped with the AL-41F provides an even more incredible launch speed for the R-77-1 and allows for guiding multiple missiles simultaneously. Sticking solely to the R-27ER prevents you from leveraging the full advantages of the Su-30SM2 .

r u Serious bro?MICA and R77-1 have similiar G-load and BVR ability,both have its advantage and not higher than each other too much,so why R77-1 weaker than MICA?

I posted some replays in another thread about the Rafale. The fact is, it’s not impossible, but much more difficult than the others. And besides that, you have a very short window of time to act, which only makes things worse. Even if you defend against a Mica, the Rafale will put you on the defensive while it goes on the offensive, putting you in a difficult position.
