yeah the su30 is a heavy bird :( even with the al-41 engines it wont make the same tw as the f15e or the EF, rafale

If you killing 5-6 enemy in bvr, and by the aircraft’s survivability and you will survive (going back to base to reload+refuel and you will repeat again) then how did you dont had high chance to win? This is why the F15E got nerfed. I talking about the F15E before the nerf.–>this proves how important the speed and acceleration of the aircraft is in BVR.

it should be better for sure, but idk how much better, on wiki the al-41 produces 142kN of thrust (for example, the su27sm has the AL-31FM1 with 132kN of thrust), so we would have more thrust than the current su27sm, but at the same time, we are over 2 ton heavier D:

already told you the reason f15e shined was because none of its opponents had significantly more missiles to trash the f15e in bvr
f15e didnt have to face su30sm which is why it was op. su30sm would trash it.
so it is fine for the EF to be the better bvr carrier while having the best current fm, but it is not fine for the su30sm to get better engines (that WONT make the su30sm have a better fm than the ef, it will only make him a little bit faster)

So currently based on my quick calculator maths, there’s a 6.7% thrust loss with the AL-31FP. Assuming it’s similar that would give us 132.68kN (rounded up)
At 18.4t empty, it would be 0.735 twr, al-31fp is at 0.634

Not. After the F15E nerf, you more likely to be hited and died by an aim120 amramm. Your survivability is also reduced. Fewer of your aim120s also hit the target.

Spamming the -1 at 40km plus is not going to do anything when you barely hit Mach 1 in a 15 degree climb to 5000 meters with the 30…the EFT or 15E at this same point can hit 1.25 - 1.30 Mach send 1 120 and assist it with TWS. Spamming vs Efficient use of your Fox 3 at range is something I will never get…sure spam when under 20km…but spamming at 30-40km on one target -_-

i dont mind the ef to be nerfed in that regard
nor do i mind the radar being “bad”, it is balanced for the ef radar to not be best
you see, im not biased like few others here
as we can conclude for the discussion, the su30sm is the best aircraft for bvr and it does not need to be buffed at the moment
