Its fat, underpowered, has the worst flight performance among all Flankers in the game, and the thrust vectoring is not even modelled correctly.

Bro would rather give up on an entire game mode (the best mode), rather than learn how to use SPAA. Only top-tier is heavily weighted towards CAS, and that’s not where the most fun is in GRB, anyway.
Not to mention, this is a video game. I’ll play any nation I want, based entirely on ingame factors - not anything outside of that (geopolitics).

Mig 29 and Mig 23 are the fastest aircraft at their respective BRs
Skill issue. R-24R and R-27ER are the best SARH at their respective BRs. As for IRs. Mig23 holds major advantage with having all-aspect Vs rear-aspect only. And whilst the Mig29 is getting a little underpowered at 12.7, it’s speed compensates well.

It’s a problem because there is no issue with the current engines, they are the real life (accurate) ones and the SM2 is likely being reserved for a later aircraft
If you want to retcon powerful engines onto the jet to attempt to make up for the weighr, without justifying the new variant, then it’s a no from me
