Su-30SM balancing, implementation of the AIM-9X

I think there’s a bit of problem, about the Su-30SM missiles specifically the R77-1. The R77-1 has 120km range and has 50G manouvering capability which I think needs to be balanced by adding the AIM-9X. So both the US Fighters and both Russian fighters could have High G missiles. Since they both have the same capability but the AIM-9X is close range IR missile not like the R77-1. I don’t know much about other long range missile with this capability for the US but I heard about adding the MAKO missile to different platforms. It has been tested on planes like the F/A-18,F-22,F-15, etc. etc.

AIM-9X(bl1), R-73M or whatever, Python-4 could be all added in one update tbh

My God

I never heard about the R-74

why is bro complaining about the R-77-1 when the MICA is out there bruh

maybe they should just buff aim120 fin AOA to realistic levels, so it can actually turn and hit close range shots

How exactly would 9X help you against 120km range missile?

Do you know what notch or multipath means?

Cuz r77-1 has bithe great close and far range performance and mica all tho its amazing and great for the meta doesnt have good range

true r-77-1 has better range than the mica but the mica is still more than capable at longer ranges, meanwhile the mica wipes the floor with everyone at close to medium range

Oh right, Russia has a great long range missile therefore USA should get a great short range missile to balance that out. Yeah that’s the most obvious solution right.
More seriously aren’t the R-77s really mid missiles in game? Because that’s what I’ve been told

R-74M and M2 even. Depends if it’s block 1 or block 2 xray

Great. Another ‘Bad’ US main cope post.

Go on.
Bring AIM-9X please.

I will punch you with our superior ASRAAM,
And we all will be doomed by Rafale with MICA-IR

I just wonder why they want to strangle themselves.
Introducing A2A IIR will be a blunder to USA.

The 77-1’s can work at long range, since the Su-30 now averages slightly higher speeds, but the thing is, there has to be a 1 brain cell organism on the receiveing end of the missile, getting hit at long range is purely skill issue imo, a badly executed notch and a few chaffs are enough to evade.

At close ranges it changes ofc, the missiles start to rain down from higher aspects, which make multipathing harder, and the closer distances give less time to properly notch or turn cold, that’s why the Mica and 77-1 are good.

AMRAAM outranges it but thats about it.

If AMRAAMs, even if only the C5 were harder to notch + chaff, it wouldnt be that bad, asymetrical balancing and what not. R-77-1 + MICA dominate close range, AMRAAMs are mid to long range.

But lets be honest, when was the last time you died to long range AMRAAM shot without making some fatal mistake?

Imagine MICA NG

Exactly, you don’t, that’s why I don’t understand why we have only one missile with a seeker advantage still…

its so over then

20 more Rafale buffs please

gaijin: mica is a short range missile only (even tho its not lol) so we give it a seeker advantage to balance

r-darter, derby and r-77: where seeker buff
