j11b is hardly better than the su30mk2/ j11a, j11a/su30mk2 gets better missile in exchange for worse flight performance
R77 over PL-12?
r-77 much better than pl-12. pl-12 is almost brick compared to r77. and r73 over pl-5e2 or pl8b. and r27er good as well, i always bring 1 27er
would pl-8b ever be able to do this? r-73 helps close gap against better air craft in dogfight that pl8b will never do (j-10 in this case)
Yeah, it was completely outclassed when it was added in Seek and Destroy. For reference, the contemporaries in S&D update were the F-15C MSIP II, F-15J(M), and JAS39C. Su-27SM and J-11A were not just out of the meta, but DOA. R-77, while a bit better at close ranges, was effectively useless at >20km, before which it would start wobbling and fall out of the sky.
Along with their horrible modelling of the PL-12, which was worse than even the AIM-120A (and is still not half as powerful as it should be), it’s the reason I quit playing top tier Air. I’m sure many other players share my sentiment, given how terribly every ARH was and still is unrealistically limited. Historical issues, especially with “minor” nation vehicles, are ignored or marked as “Not a bug”. It didn’t help that the specific J-11A added was such a minor variant with so little information, and devs rejected bug reports with evidence based on similar model.
In the current landscape, it’s even worse due to being forced to fight Rafael and Eurofighter. Along with other reasons, J-11A moving to 13.3, therefore, is an undoubtedly righteous action.

R73 is good yea. But in no way is R77 better than PL12. R77 is the worst ARH missile out there

it would be weak as a 13.7 but its much better to have a weak aircraft than an absurdly op one. this thing can see f16a.

Bad radar, even worse RWR, weaker engines and less missiles than the 27smt.
The worst 13.7 is now worst 13.3. Goes to show the games BRs are extremly compressed in places.

With such a big discrepancy in capabilities - no matter how capable is F-4E player. Unless F-16A player is actually have negative skill - you ain’t winning.
