Even with ER’s rn it doesnt matter, since multipathing starts at 100m u can literally ignore any and all radar missiles and send it straight for the merge with no threat at all to your safety. Personally, since everyone will be on the same page radar missile wise this coming patch, im very much hoping for some changes to MP effect - then you wouldnt see such braindead behaviour and radar missile would need to be properly dealt with before being able to push into the merge.
He literally mentioned in 1C means they’re dogfighting, when i ask him of a proof he start jumping around, he got no clue, DCS is much more reliable source and game than Warthunder, if u win in a dogfight in WT it doesn’t mean its gonna do the same in real life, just saying.
I mean untill the update drops we cant really judge how its gonna be, and which missile is better than the other, we can only hope both are balanced and not the other way around.
Well in DCS the flanker is a monster while dogfighting, f16 dominates the rate but the su27 is the 1C king, although it also rates quite well compared to wt.

I don’t think so, the F15 won in a dogfight and the Su27 was struggling to turn in the first circle, so i don’t know how its a king maybe another variant with thrust vectoring.
huh, well yeah even in real life any jet with hob’s missiles and high alpha capability will rinse a pure two circle fighter without any hobs missile of their own. Thats been well established by simulated dogfighting trials irl many times. But thats also irl and not wt, as in our game the FM’s have some large differences to their irl performance.
yeah, but if the last fox3 test was anything to go off all those tested will be fairly similar in bvr capability - AAM4 might throw a spanner in the works but as many have mentioned its highly likely it gets the magic 2 treatment and comes in a more nerfed state initially.

I think you confused some terms, 1C, to simplify, is the nose to nose dogfight, 2C or a rate fight, is the nose to tail dogfight. In DCS, the flanker with its insane AOA beats the f15 if they fight in 1C, however if the duel develops into a 2C the eagle will eventually win because it can sustain better than the su27. The same happens with the mig29 and the f16, the 29 dominates 1C and the 16 dominates 2C.
Growling Sidewinder makes a lot of good videos about DCS with every aircraft, he did su27 x f15, f15 x su27, mig29 x f16, f16 x mig29, f15 x mig29, mig29 x su27 and so on, i recommend watching some of his content, it’s pretty cool to see that you can kill pretty much any plane with any plane in a dogfight if you fly it properly.

What, idk how thats relevant regardless. People are claiming the flanker specifically in warthunder is an exceptional dogfighter, he is giving them an opportunity to test their claim. Even in the 1circle the in-game flanker rn can do very poorly due to some actually ridiculous bleed rates causing it to haemorrhage altitude - and also cannot compete in sustained turn rate. Hence why Malekitth said it can easily lose both in 1 or 2 circle fights against f16/grippen. Unfortunately, its just heavily carried by its missile kit rn due to the energy bleed issue, and when u learn to work around the missiles its pretty much out of options.

This is not the first time he acts like that.
Me and countless people argued with him but i realized it was pointless to do that actually.
He thinks Su-27 in real life can pull more then F-16 but many people including him forgets that F-16 is also quite capable one circle fighter.
Only chance Su-27 will have is to use cobra maneuver, launch R-73 and hope that it will kill F-16 , otherwise F-16 will dump on Su-27 quite hard.
Last but not least F-16 also does have HOBS missiles aka Aim-9X which will force Su-27’s hands extra in real life.

Don’t forget that a guy made a video comparing the energy bleed of wt’s flanker with irl flanker, wt flanker just underperforms by a ridiculous margin.
