Stormer HVM requires BR 10.0

The Stormer HVM is equipped only with Starstreak missiles, which lack a proximity fuse and require direct hits to destroy air targets. This makes it significantly more difficult to engage fast-moving fixed-wing aircraft compared to other SPAA systems at its current BR.

At BR 10.3, it is matched with vehicles such as the Osa-AK and ASRAD-R, both of which are equipped with proximity-fused missiles that make it far easier to score hits on fixed-wing aircraft. In comparison, the Stormer HVM is clearly inferior in practical anti-air performance.

For these reasons, I believe that assigning the Stormer HVM a BR of 10.0 would be more appropriate.

The reason why I’d take the Stormer out over the ASRAD and OSA-AK is that it is much better against helicopters, all while having great mobility, thermals, turret rotation speed, and smoke grenades.

The Stormer can work wonders against aircraft if you practice enough with it.

You’re absolutely right that the Stormer HVM excels at engaging helicopters. However, in actual battles, fixed-wing aircraft tend to appear far more frequently than helicopters, which means the situations where the Stormer can fully leverage that strength are relatively limited.

Additionally, saying that the Stormer can hit targets “with enough practice” implicitly acknowledges that its effectiveness relies heavily on player skill. In contrast, systems like the Osa-AK or ASRAD can reliably intercept aircraft and incoming missiles without requiring the same level of training. This highlights a performance gap and suggests that, in practical terms, the Stormer HVM is less capable than other anti-air platforms in comparable situations.

I disagree. I think its fine for 10.3 and the argument could be made that others need to move up.

That being said… Stormer HVM has a LOT of buff options. From just fixing it, to adding IFF/NCTR, Buffing the Starstreaks, Adding LMM Martlets (which would add a prox fuse option), overhauling how IRST works, etc etc.

I personally really like the Stormer HVM and have no major complaints about how it performs most of the time, the only thing I really really hate is the fact that you cannot do anything about recon drones. LMM Martlets would fix that. So Id start by finishing / fixing / buffing it first.

Example of some of the bug reports that would be quite major:

Starstreak - Time to target too long (average velocity too low)
Starstreak - Top Speed Too Low
Stormer HVM missing NCTR
Stormer HVM tracking issue
Stormer HVM missing historical LMM “Martlet” Missiles
Stormer HVM lacks LRF

Chatgpt pilled response

Ive never heard a real human say “youre absolutely right, however”

Hu? Ive seen that before, im fairly certain ive said something like that before. I just gather OP is use to typing in a more formal setting, like in a office. Sounds like email language to me.

I mean im not entirely accusing them of using chatgpt, just that its very chatgpt-esque, its a line you see ai use a lot because they hate saying youre wrong about anything

That’s a fair point.

I agree that this points out that it relies heavily on player skill, but it doesn’t mean it’s bad.

Its skill ceiling is quite high compared to other SPAAs but it can supersede them if played well enough.
You have the tools (the smoke grenades, the turret rotation speed, the thermals, the mobility, the gun depression) to make it work pretty well.

It certainly does have that. Though it is also has the low ping requirement too, which some players have no control over which is a real shame.

I’m not very good at English, so I’m using a translator. Please don’t mind if some parts sound unnatural.

I like the Starstreak, but I still feel it’s being forced into tough fights against fixed-wing aircraft. Also, as you mentioned, its inability to handle reconnaissance drones is another significant drawback.
If the bug report you showed me results in improvements, I think it could reach performance worthy of a 10.3 rating.
