Stormer HVM missing Martlet Missiles

Within the Sky Odyssey update, we are seeing the introduction of LMM Martlet missiles added via the Wildcat helicopter.

These missiles are relatively low powered within the anti-MBT role, but acceptable for dealing with lighter vehicles and crucially, other aircraft thanks to a prox fuse.

Another vehicle that can use them and should receive them is the Stormer HVM. This SPAA is currently totally reliant upon Starstreak missiles, which are very potent vs helis, but totally useless vs most aircraft and cannot be used in any circumstance vs drones of any kind. The Starstreaks relatively recently received an update to its flight model that significantly nerfed its effectiveness vs aircraft by making the flight paths highly erratic to the point of hits vs fixed wing aircraft being as much chance as it is anything else.

The result of this is that the Stormer HVM is the worst performing SPAA in the British TT at, or around its BR. Weaker than the Rapier, Stormer AD and Soviet C&P options, and pretty much pointless to ever bring vs those other SPAAs, especially given the lack of ability to deal with drones.

Im currently hard pressed to justify why it should be 10.3 anymore, and instead could be more like 9.7 alongside the Rapier.

There is a solution to all of the Stormers issues. Martlets. By giving the Stormer a prox fuse missile, it can deal with drones, and can be more effective at dealing with closer range aircraft. Saving the Starstreaks then for aircraft longer distances and helis.

The combo would make the Stormer HVM a viable 10.3 SPAA once again, and a worthwhile pick over the Rapier.

Whilst LMMs would give the Rapier increased anti-tank performance, they are only 350mm pen HEAT, which is more than half the average of pen for ATGMs around that BR of usually around 800mm, with some more like 1200mm. It also lacks Tandem charge, meaning it cannot deal with ERA. So whilst it would be effective against light tanks or other SPAAs, the likelihood it would reliably kill tanks is pretty slim. Which then doesn’t differ much from the Starstreaks in that regard.
